In her soon-to-be-released memoir, former 'American Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi reveals she was molested as a child and date raped by a well-known music producer, E!Online.com reports. In the book, 'A Helluva High Note,' DioGuradi opens up about a family friend's son who repeatedly molested her when she was only 11. "On one particular day, he took me into the back shed of his house and put his hands all over my breasts and vagina," she writes. "I remember freezing and not knowing what to do."
DioGuardi, whose new Bravo show 'Platinum' debuts next month, also reveals how a well-known producer date raped her after dinner. "Within a few hours, he was on top of me, pumping, sweating, and speaking to me in Spanish, not a word of which I could understand," she writes.
The former 'Idol' judge said she never told anyone for fear it would affect her career.

Kara, stop covering up their crimes. If you want to sell these stories, name names.

Some people will do anything to stay in the spotlight. Kara, your 15 minutes is up, time to move on to something else.
She seems talented, but let;s see some proof! Otherwise, add lying to her list of talents! This book is a wannabe tell-all to make well-known people feel bad for something that never happened!

That reminds me, I was in the restroom the other day and somebody took a crap in the urinal. LOL

I feel sorry for you Bill, and this horrible experience. Maybe you should write a book and make some money.

I believe South Africa leads the way in rapes. Plus, many countries don't have registries, and in many countries people don't report abuse because it won't be treated seriously (think of the slave-like conditions for women in Middle Eastern countries). So, while we may have a large registry, it's because it is reported, dealt with and made record of - and that's a good thing.
A NEW T.V. SHOW NEED THE VIEWERS WRITE A BOOK DONT NAME NAMES PLEASE BUY!!!! IF YOU WERE RAPED TELL THE WORLD WHO DID IT SO THEY DO NOT DO IT TO ANYONE ELSE,,, WHY HIDE THEM AND PROTECT THEM.... SO IF THEY RAPE SOMEONE ELSE YOU ARE TO BLAME TO!!!! YOU ARE ONE DUMB WOMEN!!!!!!

Agreed 100%. This lady is a fraud! I would have some respect and believability if she would have made police reports or said something long before! And to keep going out and putting herself in those situations just so she could maybe better her career makes me sick. Keeping it all a secret while many other young fools like herself get raped by these so called in the biz people trying to sex themselves up the ladder! Screw her and her fairy tales!
I agree, Kara is lying and just want to sell her book.
This lady sounds like a real head case to me. How many times is she going to be molested and raped? Sounds like she is an attention starved wacko and a glutton for punishment. Now she wrote a book about her "adventures". Please, why doesn't she just go away.

I was so badly abused by show business I have made it my life's work to help others get into it so they can be abused as well....hmmmmmmmmmm?
My favorite part about all these sad stories from star's , ever notice how they seem to have no problem talking about it when their down on their luck but not one word is spoken when their making films, TV shows or burn Thur all their money .

she is telling us about this stuff hoping to sell books. sounds like a drama queen to me.

I guess she's not getting enough attention lately. A more interesting story would have been if she had been date-raped by her vibrator.

She failed as a judge on AI (that show went way down hill after she joined) and now she's trying to take another stab at fame.

I could feel sorry for her for being molested as a young girl and being afraid to tell anyone, but being raped by a "so called famous" record producer while on a date and then being afraid to say anything because it might hurt her career, loses my sympathy for her. Protect a rapist and save your career....what logic!!!!

Why is it that everytime a "has-been" or "never was" celebrity isn't in the spotlight any longer, they have to use the "I was molested as a child" card to garner attention for themselves? Now please, no one take this the wrong way, because I do take that topic very seriously and know that it happens. I just think that it is pathetic to use it to sell a book. If it was a book about her fight as an adult to stop this type of thing from happening, I could easily understand. If she has been on a crusade to stop it from happening or to make it easier for people to open up about being molested, I would understand. But, using this very serious topic to write about yourself is really desperate. In my opinion, it's as bad as the race card.
