In her soon-to-be-released memoir, former 'American Idol' judge Kara DioGuardi reveals she was molested as a child and date raped by a well-known music producer, E!Online.com reports. In the book, 'A Helluva High Note,' DioGuradi opens up about a family friend's son who repeatedly molested her when she was only 11. "On one particular day, he took me into the back shed of his house and put his hands all over my breasts and vagina," she writes. "I remember freezing and not knowing what to do."
DioGuardi, whose new Bravo show 'Platinum' debuts next month, also reveals how a well-known producer date raped her after dinner. "Within a few hours, he was on top of me, pumping, sweating, and speaking to me in Spanish, not a word of which I could understand," she writes.
The former 'Idol' judge said she never told anyone for fear it would affect her career.

Uh oh, looks like Kara DioGuardi is missing the spotlight that AI gave her. Selling a book is always easier when there's a rape story to be exploited.

Just a bunch of sh*t to sell a book. And! She is out of idol because no one liked her, not because of a kid. This dummy is dying to be famous by telling all her useless information and I hope people will continue not to care about her. What a joke!

Question...is there ANY female celebrity who was not molested as a child? It seems to be the "in" celebrity story to disclose these days. The Judd's are making their childhood molestation tour now also.

When their careers are in the dump most women resort to, either, taking their clothes off for the camera or, they were molested or raped. Since she has no body to speak of, I guess she'll have to resort to the later.

Wow, a year too late on putting this book out. So now someone raped you? My question is did she do ANYTHING about it before she put the book out?

Pretty much every girl I know, including myself, has been molested or raped by a family memeber or a friend. It's all an act to get publicity. It may have happened, but is it really necessary to tell everyone!

One in four or five children is sexually molested, by most estimates. Any walk through a prison will reveal that almost all of the inmates were victims of sexual and/or violent abuse as a child. This is an epidemic that is destroying the soul of our country, our people and our culture. Anyone who makes light of it or ignores it is a fool. Anyone who brings light to it is a hero, even if they are self-serving. And, anyone who perpetrates it should be thrown down a long flight of stairs...for starters. Kids/victims need to know they are not alone, and need to know what they can do about it. Call 911...tell a teacher...tell a parent, friend, neighbor. And for all you haters who lurk on these sites, spewing your ignorant hate, get a life and learn to spell...you losers. Thank you.

Where did you find that statistic?
I think the epidemic lies in people claiming to be victims, and I think you are buying into it. I am highly suspect anymore when people claim that these terrible things happened to them. According to these peoples logic, most of my friends (or yours) would either be rapists or victims. They are not, and I suspect, neither is she.
Very well said. Thank you.
