Neil Patrick Harris played the role of doting dad Sunday on Twitter."Relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. My heart is full of love," Harris wrote as he shared a photo of his twins, Harper and Gideon, giggling with his partner, David Burtka.
Harris and Burtka welcomed their bundles of joy last October through a surrogate. The funny man also took to Twitter to make an official birth announcement.
"Babies!!" Harris wrote. "All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey."
A bit of relaxing with his family is well deserved, as Harris recently starred alongside Stephen Colbert and Christina Hendricks in 'Company' at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City.

Lets try to figure out when the term "narrow minded" started to get slung around when someone voiced concern over a situation that previously would have been unanimously judged not a good decision by society. Most likely it started in the 80s. And today you're narrow minded if you don't think it's a good idea for two men to raise children without a mother. In case you need a reminder: Babies are not born to men; men cannot procreate with other men. These guys found a way around this little fact of life and are being applauded for breaking the rules that have governed society and family for hundreds of years.
How logical got replaced with narrow minded I'll never understand. But it worked didn't it.
They sure look like happy babies! So cute:)

oh boohoo sarahlynn, don't you know that it's LOVE is all that matters?! grow up!

IT'S DISGRACE THAT THESE 2 MEN HAVE TAKEN AWAY THEIR BIOLOGICAL MOTHER. EVERYONE CHILD TO BE WITH THEIR MOTHER IF POSSIBLE. THEY ARE SELFISH IDIOTS WHO WANT TO FURTHER THEIR CAUSE BY HAVING THESE CHILDREN. THE WOMAN WHO GAVE BIRTH TO THESE CHILDREN HAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH HER TOO!

Look at those beautiful, smiling, happy babies...so lucky to be loved and cared for. Congratulations to the two beautiful parents!

Congrats to David & Neil. You have beautiful babies. Don't worry about the ignorant homophobes who have put out their opinions here and anywhere else. Two children have two parents who love them - that is all that matters.

Happy eyes, the truest way to tell happiness, fake smiles cover so much. Just take a look at Denise Richards girls, always sad eyes!

if patrick played the "doting dad" does that mean burtka has the stretch marks?

duh...o
I hope the parents don't get bad meat in the can, who would raise them then?

I have a problem with any person that pays a woman to be the surrogate mother. There are many children in orphanages who would love to be adopted and be given a chance for a good life.

Those kids suck...
Suzina22, wtf are you reading? She wasn't being mean! She was just saying that it's hard to get babies to smile for pictures. You are so very stupid....

Normal like you? Funny. I'm sure at least these children will learn basic grammar and spelling, something your parents obviously didn't bother to teach you. And maybe they'll be raised to be open-minded and accepting of others, which you obviously weren't. You're screen name is black pride, but you want to bash another minority (gay) couple for displaying pride in their new twins. You suck.

Happy, lucky babies. Will never want for a thing. Congratulations!

Yeah they will be wanting for something; it's called mom.
So they'll never want for anything? How about a M-O-T-H-E-R? They're likely to have enough money since Harris has been acting as a child and probably has invested his money well so there will be good schools, nice clothes, dinner every night. However, they'll never have a Mother. That's really, really sad. Sure mothers die and there are some who abandon their children [which is also very sad] but these kids were never given the chance to have a real mother. What the damage will be is something they will only know.
How in the world did we get to a point where a Mother means so little these days.
