'Idol' Castoff Pia Toscano Dumped Boyfriend for Mark Ballas

'American Idol' castoff Pia Toscano has reportedly dumped her long-term boyfriend to go out with 'Dancing With The Stars' pro Mark Ballas.

The New York Post is reporting that Toscano didn't bother breaking up with Carlos Nunez, her boyfriend of four years, before she went on a date with Ballas.

A mutual friend of the couple said, "It seems inevitable to anyone with eyes. They hadn't spoken as often as you'd think once she made the final 12. She kind of played a disappearing act."

The friend said they knew the relationship was on the rocks when Nunez flew to Los Angeles to see Toscano's first 'Idol' performance on TV but she could only find a "couple of hours" to be with him.

Nunez was with Toscano's family the day the 22-year-old singer was surprisingly eliminated from the competition and even comforted her weeping family as they watched the telecast.

On the other hand, Toscano and Ballas were seen on a dinner date at a restaurant a day after her elimination.

Toscano reportedly "had a crush" on Ballas and she was positively "giddy" when she found out that 'Idol' and 'Dancing' were filming on adjacent soundstages at the CBS lot in Los Angeles and managed to get in touch with the dancer through mutual friends.

Toscano was on 'Ellen' last week, where she was asked about Ballas. The singer was evasive and said, "I just met [Ballas] ... he's a very sweet guy ... we're just friends."

PEOPLE is also reporting that when asked about Toscano, Ballas called her "a really beautiful girl," adding, "she's really cool."

And when asked if the two were dating, Ballas remained coy and said, "It is what it is. I'm having a great time. I have no complaints right now."

People, seriously, there are some big haters and judgers out there. You shouldn't judge, lest ye be judged, remember? Only but the immediate people involved know the entire story. It's quite possible her relationship was already on the rocks and she decided this was the best time to end it. Why stay in a relationship that doesn't work right? This was the perfect time for her to move on. And the part of the story that says she could only find a couple hours to spend with her boyfreind when he came to visit her? For goodness sakes, they have a tremendously busy schedule there on that show all during the days for the most part. I don't see anything wrong with her going out to eat and spend some time with someone she's had a crush on. People that are saying she left her boyfriend for Mark Ballast are jumping to conclusions. They could be good friends and that's all. Also remember there are two sides to every story. Just because you read something here is not the endall to all info. ;) Have a blessed day everyone.

He might not realize it yet, but this is the best thing that could have happened to Carlos Nunez. It may have taken 4 years but it's great that he's finally seen her true colors.

Good for Mark, I would take her out myself. I think the public has been way to hard on her. The good point is she is OK with it. She is a very tough, smart, funny talented girl. I would have her on my arm any day of the week. I hope Mark knows what he has because I do.

What a disappointment she is.. She was one of my favorites but now with the morals of a suer rat obviously. A man gives her 4 years of his life to support her dreams and motivate her to get where she is and he is thrown out like the garbage she seems to be. Standard 15 minutes of fame always shows who the real person is inside that has been covered up by her fake personality. As for Mark not sure he even knows he is a man but its easy to see whether it was Pia or another woman he was waiting to jump like she was prey for a hunter no matter who his actions affected. His DWTS partner better look out she might be his next victim.

I think pia is ugly and sounds like a million other singers. she was boring on american idol and that is why she was kicked off!!!!! stop thinking you deserve to still be on the show...America voted and kicked you off. your not that wonderful!

Not knowing their situation before idol. I think it is unfair to say bad things about either. I WILL say though that she'd be smart not to get serious with anyone while her star is shining. Idol will present many opportunities and she needs to be clear headed to make selections that will be beneficial to her career. I hope she does well.

I have to agree... she seemed like a prima donna and I was so glad when she got axed. She had no stage personality what so ever. And despite the fact that she was told for weeks to STEP it up by the professionals she only TRIED to do that... need I say TRIED again to do that the week she was axed. She got what she deserved.

Well Terry, she was choosen to be on American Idol for her talent and she had plenty of that. We weren't to judge her based on what could baseless information on her personal life.Niether she or the boyfriend said anything about the breakup of lark of if it. I will not condemn someone for something is may turn out to be, miss information. I think she was one of the best talent on American Idol, and this year the talent is tremendos.I thought she would win the whole thing. But there are still some great people left and I will continue the show.

I saw a clip where one of the other male not-known dancers came up from behind him and kissed his neck...If anything I say she and Mark are friends, and she wants to venture out to bigger and better things. Besides you know gay guys like to surround themselves with beautiful women, ie., Ryan Seacrest, Prince, Michael Jackson...just sayin'
