Robert Pattinson and newlywed Reese Witherspoon didn't let the rain put a damper on the star-studded premiere of 'Water for Elephants' in New York Saturday night."That's incredible," Witherspoon told MTV about the fans who waited for hours in the rain -- some almost an entire day -- just to see them. "That was very sweet, their dedication to the movie and the book, and to Rob."
"Let's not kid ourselves," she joked about Pattinson's 'Twilight' following. "They like me. I'm OK. I'm a consolation prize."
Pattinson admitted he enjoys the "nice" fans that visit on-set but isn't always a fan of working the red carpet.
"It's kinda work, it's kinda fun," he said. "You only get to do it a few times a year."
Witherspoon jumped in, telling her co-star, "You do it more than the average person, actually! I don't do it a couple times a year. I do it once a year, maybe."

Great reporting Popeater. The Premiere was last night Sunday, not Saturday. It did rain Sat. but Sunday was perfect weather.. I guess reporting the facts can be real hard for a seasoned reporter!I actually went to see Reese but most of the crowd seemed to be middle aged women who were screaming like little girls. The three in front of me had driven in from Conn. just to see Rob P.They both signed autographs and really worked the crowd.
