We suppose it was appropriate, considering 'The Cosby Show' was the brain child of one Bill Cosby, that Cosby was the only one who spoke when the cast was on stage to accept their Impact Award at the '2011 TV Land Awards'. Still, it would have been nice to hear from some of the other castmembers. The award was presented by Stevie Wonder and Cosby spent a good chunk of his time riffing with the legendary musician, when we suspect fans of 'The Cosby Show' would have preferred him talk about his inspiration for the show, how he feels the show influenced television, or even some classic Cosby grumbling about the world today.

I missed the whole Crosby cuz I tuned in late, so got to watch the other t.v. cast members making short speeches. I think it's typical Crosby and his ego that he speaks for everyone. I don't dislike him, but it's in line with who he is. I mean DOCTOR Crosby when one of his co star kid's said DR. Crosby. Not Bill or Mr. It would have nice to hear from the rest of the cast. Too bad Dr. Crosby needed the spotlight and shared it more with Stevie Wonder than w/ his "family".

like any of these 1 hit wonders had anything important to say.
I'm disappointed I never see Lisa Bonet who played Denise at these Cosby reunions. it's never the same when one cast member is missing.

I loved this show so much growing up! They all grew up into such beautiful people.

"Doctor" Cosby is the most subliminal racist on record.

"yes the finest african american family..." Really now, You can drop the African American' stuff.. Most blacks are proud just to be American and a lot of black americans are just calling themselves that.."Black Americans".. Personally, I think calling yourself American ought to be enough..but some still want to put an extra label on things to possibly prove a point or just to show separation in a moment of making a statement. It's all good.

Of course Cosby will want to talk because in as much as he says that the show was about family it show exactly how he manipulated them. Even the beautiful Ms. Rashid did not say a word and she was a lawyer in the show and you know how lawyers love to talk. Not only was Lisa Bonet missing but so was her husband in the show. Some people know better and Cosby has an ego as big as the entire award show. I personally loked the show, but never liked Cosby.

Is it me or it just seems like everyone shows more value to the cast of 'The Cosby Show', 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air', and 'Family Matters' than he/she would with typical black families.

It's because those families on TV shows the world what a "typical" black family SHOULD be like....We look at these families on television as inspiration and motivation on how we should improve and uplift our black families. I feel you though!! Grace n Peace
Where was Lisa Bonet (Denise)

You are correct you did miss it because the all of them did speak and I must say you are consistent with your mistake or maybe I did not get your attempt at humorous. The name is Dr. Cosby.
