Brad and Angelina's Strict Nanny Requirements

We have always wondered how Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie appear to raise such a well mannered brood of six without going completely insane. The answer: nannies, a lot of nannies, an entire basketball team of nannies. PopEater spoke to one applicant for the Pitt-Jolie nanny job who said she was surprised by the strict requirements asked of the family's childcare providers.

Each child, we are told, is given their very own personal nanny, who is required to have a college degree in either education or child development and to speak at least two languages. In the case of Brad and Angie's adopted children from other countries, the nanny is question is expected to speak the language of the child's native land.

The job applicant must also be willing to travel. This is a biggie since the family splits their time between California, New Orleans, France and a number of movie sets on a yearly basis.

According to our source, the positions pay between $50,000 and $150,000 on a sliding scale to start. With six kids, childcare can easily run the Jolie-Pitts a cool million on a yearly basis.

The requirements make sense (and believe us we have heard crazier) since the family travels so often each caregiver will essentially be a one-on-one teacher for the kids when they aren't enrolled in school.

What we have to say is kudos to the Pitt-Jolie publicity machine for their careful pruning of these nannies from the official paparazzi shots the family releases to the press. You would think six extra well-educated bodies traveling with the fam would be easy to spot, but we rarely see anyone but Brad and Angie minding the crew.

Scratch that, I just saw an old photo of Angelina and the three look just like her! Apparently she was blonde and had that round face when she was little. So I guess that answers my curiosity.

Have or adopt the children. Pay some one else to take care of them.. what is the point of being a parent?

Well all I can say lucky kids they will be well educated and what I really like that they background is respected and they language and culture kept in they mind. They are great people and all power to them and Blessing.

People said here they have to work, so they have to have that many Nannies... Are you kidding me? First of all, they do not HAVE TO WORK..I am certain Angelina could stay home and raise these kids while Brad works then, or vice versa, for the sake of being equal today...With these children at home, what are they working for? Another flat screen tv?

No, these are high wheeling celebrities who think being a Mother is hiring a nanny. They believe this because they too want to work, get out the house, and not deal with all these children ALL DAY LONG, LIKE MOST PARENTS HAVE TO! HELLO?

Yea, If I had a NANNY for each kid, I'd have 6 or 7 too, however many they are up to now. Heck with a nanny per kid, let's have 22!

This is the main thing that kills me. A woman like this, ( ANGE) will win "The Mother of the Year Award." LOL. That's what kills me. I say-- Give it to the everyday woman, whom no one knows her name, no one knows her face. Her name will never be up in Spotlights and no one will want her audograph or reach to touch her as she walks by. But everyday, she wakes up, brushes her teeth and puts on her robe and goes downstairs to fix her children breakfast. Before they are in school full time, she plays dollies with them or batman, and has oatmeal in her hair and spitup on her shoulder. She hasn't had time to even shave her legs in a week. A quiet bath alone for just 30 minutes is like someone gave her a million dollars.

This is a real mother. I know. I was that mother and could go on and on. Angie's just looking the part.

Ohh! Caroline, that is an extremely thoughtful post and I would not be surprised if Angelina would have felt the same way if someone would have asked. It is not as if she needs confirmation from the world as to her parenting skills, they seem to be enjoying life and to help another human being or acknowledge
them for such an award is also a form of true humanity.

I just want to know why, with all the money Brad and Angelina have, do every one of these kids always look so disheveled? And the clothes they wear look like they picked the clothes and dressed themselves without any supervision. Haircuts would be an added bonus!

They are used for photo opts.

I think what people are saying is why did she lie and say she dont have nannies when she has many.No one would have cared if she didnt lie about it in the first place its a weird thing to lie about I mean what was her motive behind the lie?what was her point?

If they cannot be fuill time parents, dont have kids !!!! A nanny never takes the place of a present parent. You can pay a million for the best child care and the kids still grow up "empty"...

It is a blessing that the Jolie-Pitts can adopt children, and give them a better life. Where would the children be if they had not been adopted? I'm sure they are blessed to be where they are now, and have loving parents, and siblings. God Bless them, for giving these kids a wonderful love filled life. If they adopt more, it's because they can afford too, and they love children.

No need to talk to a nanny applicant, all this info could have been found in their IRS tax return...under Work Related DEDUCTIBLE EXPENSES! Actors can deduct almost everything as "work related." That's 14 airline tickets or a charter for every exotic trip, deuctible!

I think it is wonderful to be able to have full time nannies for their children. I am sure that when the parents are not at work then they are at home with their children just like any other people who work and have families. With professional nannies like they are hiering the children will be very smart since they are being taught by college graduates, they are learning two languages at a great age. I cannot think of a better family situation than this group has. They are very loving parents.
