Elizabeth Banks in Talks for 'Hunger Games' Role The cast of 'The Hunger Games' keeps growing.

The latest addition is Elizabeth Banks, who is in talks to join Lionsgate's adaptation of Suzanne Collins' popular book series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Already cast are Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role of Katniss Everdeen. Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth will play her love interests, while relative newcomers Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi were cast earlier Monday as Rue and Thresh, respectively.

Banks will play Effie Trinket, a pink-haired showbiz type who becomes the handler of Katniss.
