Hold onto your hats 'Glee' fans, because Matthew Morrison scored the ultimate duet partner for a track on his new album: Elton John.Ryan Seacrest shared a clip of the song -- which is a mashup of John's 'Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters' and 'Rocket Man' -- on his radio show Monday. The song is available for download through Amazon beginning today.
Morrison asked John to be part of his debut album and the pair recorded the song in January.
"He gave me free reign, and it took me three days to go through his whole collection because he's got so many songs," Morrison told 'ET Canada' (via PEOPLE). "[But] it's a beautifully epic seven-minute song, and it's my favorite song on the album."

Who gets to catch the rocket, John or "Glee" Morrison?

Can we stop with all the mashups, please?

He's definitely a Broadway voice, not mainstream pop.

Elton John & Matthew Morrison, they are really into each other.

Whenever Elton sings a duet with anyone, it's always amazing!

I have nothing against Matthew Morrison who is an excellent actor and a great looking charming dude. But Elton John is an astonishing singer, a pop genius, and major musician and in this duet he makes Morrison look like a karaoke wannabe, which is kind of what Morrison is. Morrison is proving to be what he plays on TV: a guy who has rock n roll dreams but isn't really good enough to make it. I think we in our culture, so to speak, too often blur the edge between playing something on TV and actually being it. Morrison has gotten carried away with this confusion. He thinks he is a singing star but actually he's a really good actor who plays a singer, not a singer.
