We count ourselves among Tina Fey's biggest fans. We've loved her since 'Saturday Night Live,' never miss an episode of '30 Rock,' have seen 'Mean Girls' about 100 times and picked up our copy of her new book 'Bossypants' the week it hit bookstores.
We also never miss one of Fey's always-entertaining interviews. So we were a bit surprised this morning to find out that Fey told Ellen DeGeneres, in an interview airing today, that she didn't intend to find out the sex of her unborn baby, because, well, she told David Letterman on Friday's 'Late Show' that she already did.
Check out the evidence below.
On today's 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' the host asked Fey, "Do you know the sex of the child?"
Fey's answer: "We decided we are going to wait. We're going to find out...never."

But that's not what she said as the throw-to-commercial music swelled at the end of her sit-down with Letterman. Letterman did his best to get some info out of Fey during the interview, but she joked around coyly and skirted the question no matter how hard the 'Late Show' host pressed. But at the very end of the interview, Letterman wished her well with the baby and asked, "You know what it is, right?" Her response: "I do."
Watch (go to 13:56 for Letterman's question and Fey's response):
Big deal. The bottom line I think is that she doesn't want to reveal it to the public. We're sometimes too hard on people in the public eye. She hasn't outright lied about anything big. She's choosing her words carefully about something very private. Who cares about the semantics? What I got from the two different stories is that Tina's just not going to reveal publicly the sex of the baby. The other thing I'd wonder is if the Ellen show was taped before David Letterman.
i think she just wanted to get off of letterman's stage. she didn't even think before she spoke. either way, what does it matter? everyone will know the baby's gender at the end of the summer.
They are always promoting homosexual perverts and have stories about them every day. If you have kids get rid of AOL before they trust them and get raped. If they don't go to hell no one will. God forbid.
Who cares if she lied or not, shes by no means funny at anything. Maybe now she will retire to raise her little people...Ignorant,self loathing liberal.... Wasnt she a munchkin in the wiz 34 years ago?

Oh, please most celebs out there behave worse and less genuine, and lie about stranger or worse things. I wish her the best.
