Italian Mayor to 'Jersey Shore' Cast: No Bars, No Booze

What's a season of '
Jersey Shore' without a bar fight or public binge drinking?
We'll soon find out as the cast of the MTV show heads to Florence, Italy, where the mayor has given the show a list of strict rules to follow during their stay to
film season 4.
According to the
New York Post, the mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi, listed several rules in the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera for the 'Jersey Shore' cast to follow.
Renzi's rules are pretty strict -- at least by MTV standards -- and they include:
► The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.
► The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.
► The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.
► The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature its culture and good food.
Additionally, the cast will not be permitted to film inside of any historic buildings, though Renzi said he could not stop them from using Florence scenery as a backdrop for the show.
Renzi's rules come after some Italians expressed
outrage that the MTV show would be filming in their country.
The ingredients for an entertaining 'Jersey Shore' episode include copious amounts of alcohol, solid house music and some guidos/guidettes. Take away the booze and the clubs and we're left with
Snooki,
The Situation and their friends soberly touring the Italian countryside.
If these rules are to be taken seriously, we'd prefer another Miami season in a heartbeat.

With those rules there is no show. Why are they going to Italy anyway to find their roots or did Jersey finally have enough of them worthless pieces of crap.
No won't our kids are bad, they have bad examples. Beside how can they afford Italy now of them have a job.
That is what is wrong with reality show, they just aren't.

They might as well scrap the whole idea.

Why did the JS producers pick Florence?...Rome has plenty of bars and clubs where the JS idiots could've acted out and made fools of themselves.

These mental midgets are just about as "Italian" as an Olive Garden restaurant. Makes me ashamed to be an Italian American!

HEY BOOGAR, NO DECENT ITALIAN WOULD HAVE YOUR NAME.LOL IDIOT!!
Lol only three of them are Italian american. So if three ppl in the whole world make u feel bad to be an italian american then thats kind of sad....
They might as well unpack their bags and stay in the USA. With all those "restrictions," the show has no place to go but down. (MORE down? Lower? Deeper down? than it already is...). Plus - Italy's restrictions have removed about 90% of their "script."

So what are they going to do now? I can't believe anyone watches these idiots.

The Mayor should do one more thing. Insure that no alcohol is allowed into their hotel rooms or wherever they're staying. Without any of this crap, our young generation will have nothing to look forward to. Maybe we can get rid of this trash and the pig once and for all.

They will shrivel up and die if they take away the alchol and bars. Please let that happen. BTW hats off to the mayor of Florence.
