Lindsay Lohan No Longer in Talks For Gotti Movie

It looks like there's one contract even the Gotti family can't go through with.

Lindsay Lohan is no longer up for the role of Victoria Gotti, daughter of legendary mob boss John Gotti, in the upcoming film 'Gotti: Three Generations.'

"We are not talking any further about Lindsay playing Victoria," says the film's producer, Mark Fiore. "She is no longer being considered. The talks have stopped. We are going to meet with other people."

Just days before the news was announced, Lohan attended a press conference with Victoria Gotti and John Travolta, who has signed on to play the Gotti family patriarch.

Both Victoria Gotti and Travolta sang the actress's praises during the event, with the former saying of the star, "I think she's doing great; I think she's going to continue to do great and she's got a lot of people rooting for her."

Travolta added, "I've always thought [Lohan] was gorgeous and talented and filled with a lot of depth. So, I think that whatever she would like to do would be great with me."

While there has been speculation that studios may be wary of signing Lohan to projects because of the high cost to insure the troubled star, Fiore tells PEOPLE, "Her legal case has nothing to do with it. We just couldn't reach terms."

Following Lohan's lead is 'The Notebook' director Nick Cassavetes, who is no longer attached to the film due to scheduling conflicts. "We were just not willing to put Gotti on hold so we decided to release him from the film," says Fiore.

Any studio needs to know that the stars of their movie are likely to show-up for filming every day for 6 to 12 plus months. The issue with Lindsay is she may end up in jail or rehab again, that's bad for any movie when one of the stars can't be their. She also needs to sign on for smaller rolls at lower pay to show she is stable enough to do bigger rolls.

Could not reach terms, meaning Lilo wanted more money than they were willing to pay her. Travolta thinks she is gorgeous. John, get your eyes examined, quick.

It doesn't really matter...this film will never get made. So far, second director, fourth writing team and they haven't even started filming! This might make it as an HBO mini series, but with the film industry's key demographic being 14 year old males (who never even heard of the Gotties), even the star power of John Travolta won't get this made for the big screen. Lohan is just a red herring to see if the studio can create some buzz...with insurance so high, she probably was never seriously considered.

Popeater, you need to update this "story". TMZ is reporting that its a done deal now. She's taken her "people" off and has negotiated the deal herself.

I wish I could get as many chances as this POS ... that said I have to get back and clean the vomit off the floor from my aged parent that Rep Ryan and the Republicans in their overpriced Clothes wolnt allow to have an in house aid that was part of their benefits until those a-h0-es decided they wanted to be kings. Now the tie in to LohanBag ... if this POS and other POS's like her were off unemployment and costing the Courts millions thsi nation might not be broke ... That's dumb...I would watch a movie with Lohan in it. I was interested to see her play Linda Lovelace but now I would not ever bother to see a movie about the former rape-victim porn star. Hollywood doesnt get that Lohan is popular. They just dont understand how to promote people.

Why would the producers be a little leery of her in their movie. After all, she's so stable. m Except for some "B" movies, she'll never find any roles.

I actually read she lost the part of Victoria Gotti, but was given the role of John Gotti Jr's wife. Go fig. I they did find a way to insure her.

I have really not been a fan of any "mob" picture. Never liked the Godfather flix or anything similar. But this pic of "Gotti" with the talks of Lindsay Lohan or "Lindsay" as she now wants to be known as, to star has intrigued me and I really was glad to read the recent news that she had signed on and ... blah blah blah. Now she is out?! And now the news is John Travolta is tagged onto the film as the mucky muck?! OK, I am back to the Godfather ... NO INTEREST!
