Rebecca Black's Death Threats Under Investigation

YouTube sensation Rebecca Black has recently received death threats serious enough that police are investigating them.

Reuters is reporting that the Anaheim, Calif., police department is looking into two death threats made against Black, 13, who is best known for her much-maligned Internet hit 'Friday.'

A spokesman for the Anaheim police said, "In essence, the threats were related to getting the music off the Internet or they were going to kill her."

"We can't validate how serious they are, but we do take it seriously," the spokesman continued.

It was reported that one death threat came by phone and the other by email.

Officers are keeping an extra eye on Black as they investigate the messages, which were made through her production and management companies.

Black's song 'Friday' has generated more than 110 million views on YouTube.

Cute young people song AND you could actually understand her words....Who were those black guys in the car when the video was almost over, speaking another language? I wonder if the threats to this young girl are being made by jealous animals who can only speak broken english?

Death threats to a child is not a way one would market her. Unfortunately, threats have been made, its not a joke. Poor girl will never be bale to just be a normal 13 year old girl again.

Unfortunately Christine, you seem a bit naive. Ploys such as this have been used ever since "fast paced media" hit the airwaves in the 50's. As a journalist student of that era I've seen it all too many times. Talent brings noteriety...and when talent is lacking other means have to be utilized. Sad but very true!
