YouTube sensation Rebecca Black has recently received death threats serious enough that police are investigating them.Reuters is reporting that the Anaheim, Calif., police department is looking into two death threats made against Black, 13, who is best known for her much-maligned Internet hit 'Friday.'
A spokesman for the Anaheim police said, "In essence, the threats were related to getting the music off the Internet or they were going to kill her."
"We can't validate how serious they are, but we do take it seriously," the spokesman continued.

Well its not the best singing I've ever heard. But neither is Brittany Spears singing voice. Its a cute little video for a young girl. Its a better tune than "I whip my hair back n forth" by Willow Smith. And I'm sure all the kids like it. I say keep doing what you love to do and dont let haters stand in your way.

Dont understand the death threats and I dont understand why this is a Youtube hit either. Her voice is not only annoying, but it had to be covered up with autotune. Very amaturely written and produced. She clearly needs a nasal operation or should be singing back up for Tom Petty.

WHAT, ARE YOU JEALOUS BECAUSE SHE THOUGHT OF HOW TO MAKE A CUTE, CLEAN SONG BEFORE YOU DID. YOU CREEPY PEOPLE, WHO WANT TO KILL SOMEONE BECAUSE YOU ARE A DEGENERATE.

Wow and only 13? She will be a star!!

She is quite talented remember folks she is 13 she will get better as she grows up. I like the video. I am not a rap lover but this was really neat and the music was good.
None of the foul language just decent music.
So whoever is threatening her, should just take a walk off a short pier

Hate the song. Think it's total trash (I will agree that it is catchy--annoyingly so), but death threats? She's 13. 13. Some stuff is just going too far. It's not the best song. But death threats? To a 13-year-old girl?

A cute, not very talented girl makes a cheap video and gets 110
million hits?! She's probably making some money. Good for her!! I
wished I was that enterprising when I was 13.
I understand that some may think this is a scam, and it's true that
there has been some marketing ploys since music started being sold to
the populace. It's been happening for centuries. Really! The BEATLES
are a notable example. However, this should be taken seriously. A
child should not be threatened by some wing-nut(s). Personally, I
think it's probably some right-wing, religious zealot, who can't think
or even react rationally. Think: summer 2009 and all the horrible
statements made about Obama. Even now with the nutty birthers. So, yes
this is an extension of that mentality. It's sad, pathetic, even
shameful where were are as a society.
