Royal Wedding Guest List Revealed: Who's Going?

Royal wedding guests, shine your shoes and polish your best jewels: The big day is less than a week away!
We now know which lucky VIPs with
invitations to
Prince William and
Kate Middleton's nuptials will be dressed in their finest at Westminster Abbey. Nobody could upstage the bride and groom, of course, but who else will
cameras from around the world be angling to catch on April 29?
The palace has just
revealed a "selected" list of royals and celebs who are confirmed as wedding guests. Beloved Brits
David and Victoria Beckham and Sir
Elton John are no surprise, but keep your eyes open for these other famous faces.
Director Guy Ritchie, singer Joss Stone, Olympic swimmer Ian Thorpe and quirky 'Mr. Bean' star Rowan Atkinson are confirmed to attend.
Peruvian-born Mario Testino, the photographer (and Princess Diana favorite) responsible for
William and Kate's official engagement photos, will be a guest. So will the chief executive of
BAFTA (known by many as the British Oscars -- it turns out Prince William became the president of BAFTA last year!).
As for non-British dignitaries, Prince Albert of Monaco will attend with his fiance, Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock (surely taking notes for their upcoming July wedding). Prince Elizabeth of Yugoslavia (second cousin to Prince Charles, mother of actress
Catherine Oxenberg and 1397th in line to the British throne) will be a guest, as will royals from Spain, Greece, Tonga, Swaziland, Denmark, Bahrain, Belgium, Morocco, Norway, Abu Dhabi, The Netherlands, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, among others.
Despite recording a love song for the couple, singer
George Michael did not make the guest list.
By the way, guests have been asked to come empty-handed: The couple requests
donations to charities in lieu of wedding gifts.

I intend to watch the ceremony on tv, but frankly I do not care who is invited to this wedding and I do not think anyone else except the people of England do care. This is William and Kates day and their guests are their business and no one elses.....

If the guests are their business, and no one elses..then why are they listed for all to see?
Joan your joking right, the guests are their business. Hello have you not been paying attention the last month. IT IS GOING TO BE ON TV NATION WIDE, IT'S BEEN IN THE NEWS, MAGAZINES AND RADIO and it is talked about morning, noone and night and you think people don't want to know the guest list. R U Serious, they want to know every detail down to the dress, cake, food, music etc. I can't believe you statement.
Did you read what I wrote. I said the only ones whose business the guests are, are William and Kates. Yes it is going to be on tv and every station is exploiting it, but to see William and Kate not who their guests are....

YOU RE-READ IT, I get it, you don't. I would explain it, but I don't think you'll get it.
England? Did you mean Great Britain? He is the future King of great Britain.
There is no mention of England in the coronation ceremony.
Just as Obama is Pres. of Hawaii or Harper is PM on Nunavut. They are but that is not their title.
Just remember not to call Elizabet Queen of England, that title became obsolete when James of Scotland became King of England in 1603.
I agree with u ,this should be ther bussiness, they are not our lords or princess whay TV coverage for this??????????
I find it funny how some Americans are so fascinated with the royal family. I lived in England for awhile and everyone I knew there couldn't care less about them...but give my best to William and Kate!

Clearly, you're one of those Americans or you wouldn't have opened and read this story.
FYI, Yugoslavia is no longer a country. Please do your research prior to posting.

France, Italy and Germany are no longer monarchies, yet people carefully trace those descendents who would be kings and queens if those monarchies had continued. Brazil was briefly a monarchy and the press carefully noted that the current heir to the long-gone throne was killed in the Air France crash.
I want to go. Just going to watch the wedding on tv. God Bless this couple and family.

And I should give a flying F&*@*K for what reason???

I agree with you Robert. There are more important things happening in this country without making a big fuss over a British wedding. Who gives a F#@K?? I don't. Besides, I am tired of hearing about the whole shebang. Give us a rest. After the wedding it will be "William and Kate who"?
You tell us. After all, you opened and read this story so many you do give a flying whatever.
Can I film the "Smashing" of the HYMEN.... or are we already too late for that?

hey robert.............you have a problem

I hear President Obama, and his old lady are NOT invited. That tells us a lot about our state of affairs!
I wish I was invited. I would like to stay for the conception.

Only crowned heads of state, and not political heads of state, are traditionally invited to such events. The president, along with scores of other heads of state, was not snubbed.
The President don't have time for some old frumpy wedding with a bunch of old ugly pecker woods!
