Emma Watson Is Finished With Brown, Not College

'Harry Potter' star
Emma Watson, 21, already announced a decision to
take time off from her Ivy League education at Brown University in Rhode Island, due to her increasingly demanding professional schedule.
She entered Brown in 2009, but last month told fans on her official site she had hit the brakes on her studies. This weekend, a new Associated Press report [via the
New York Times] clarifies Watson's plan.
The British actress' spokesperson, Vanessa Davies, now says that Watson is not returning to Brown at all. Instead, she will be transferring to another university this fall.
Although Watson has said that her introduction to campus life at Brown was
"awful" (and
football fans reportedly made her uncomfortable), the spokeswoman claims there's no truth to rumors that the movie star was "bullied" out of school. Davies says the actress wants to pursue a different course of study "not offered at Brown."
In autumn 2010, around the same time reports surfaced of an embarrassing
nude photo going viral on campus, allegedly showing Watson with only a towel around her waist, the diplomatic star was nevertheless quoted in
Marie Claire saying, "Brown has a real sense of community, and people are very protective of me. They really look out for me; they want me to feel like I'm part of it."
No longer a part of Brown's community, fans await news about where the studious Brit (and new
face of Lacome) plans to crack the books next.

A course of study not offered at Brown? Must be something like "Intergalactic Studies".

possible-my daughter took physical therapy-something not offered at Ivy League schools
like you never made a mistake in your life. And you have no idea if or how their marriage will end, so stop being so preachy!
crafashion: What the heck are you talking about? No one here mentioned a marriage, lol.
I will always be a loyal fan of Emma Watson. She shouldn't have to explain anything to anyone. You go Emma! Do what's best and feels right for you.

No offense Jill, but normally if one were interested in pursuing something like "physical therapy", they wouldn't be going to an Ivy League University to start with (but rather a tech/trade school).

Uh, Physical Therapy now requires a Master's Degree, so, although may not be offered at an Ivy League school, it wouldn't be offered at a trade school either!
Actually, being a physical therapy major, I can tell you that most, if not all, programs are DPTs - Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I think most programs are 6-7 years (if you go straight out of high school). But this is recent, so you WILL encounter PTs who have a Masters degree, and even some who only have Bachelors.
Actually, to be a physical therapist, one does not go to "trade" or "technical" school.........it is a six or seven year program....at very well established schools such as Quinapiac
Guess it must depend on your state of residence. A master's isn't required in mine.

In my area, at the clinic I go to just outside Chicago, the physical therapists have Masters Degrees and 2 have Ph.D.'s

Masters and PhDs in physical therapy? Really?
Reese couldnt pull in the audience for Robert Pattinsons new movie. If it were not for Robert, the movie would of been in 20th place at best. Reese is more than likely the reason for people NOT seeing the GREAT MOVIE...ROB...Do not accept her as a co star next time!! She is box office POISON. (and a retired beard)

What planet are you on today? Reese is not part of the Watson/Brown article.
WTH are you talking about??
I'm betting she goes to "Wellsley"

I say she found out that too many socialist liberals were at Brown and she didn't want to be brainwashed.

Really Ilene? Socialist liberals? Looks like a little right wing suds dripping outta your ears too.
You're probably right. She undoubtedly wanted an education, not an indoctrination.
Good luck to Emma where ever she ends up in college. Brown's loss, is some other schools gain.
