'Apprentice' Celeb: Trump Is Serious About Ratings, Not the White House

At least one person who has spent a lot of time competing to be Donald Trump's next 'Celebrity Apprentice' warns that no one should be fooled about the seriousness of his run for President in 2012.
"Don't put yourself in a trick bag," a contestant from this year's competition tells me. "This is all made up speculation that's designed to generate ratings."
While my source asked for anonymity for fear of Donald's wrath, other contestants, including Gary Busey,
Niki Taylor and
LaToya Jackson, have all said they'd vote for him.
Donald says his mind is made up, and his wife, Melania,
told me last week that she'll stand by his decision. If he runs, NBC will be left with a very large hole to fill without a Donald-led 'Apprentice.' An executive at the network told the New York Times that all this posturing is just "Donald being Donald" and that they have serious doubts he'll actually run in the Republican primary.
The skeptical contestant echoed NBC's line of thinking, adding that the billionaire is addicted to media coverage and out to bolster ratings for the show.
"He is a genius at getting his name back in the headlines," my source says. "Whether it's picking fights with Martha [Stewart] or Rosie [O'Donnell] we should all have learned by now that this is just what he does."
We won't know until 'Celebrity Apprentice' finishes its run. Until then, expect him to continue questioning the validity of President Obama's birth certificate and picking fights with anyone who dares question him. (Today, it's Robert DeNiro.)
"You watch when the next season of Celebrity Apprentice is announced he will be at it again," the contestant says.
What do you think, will he or won't he?

Trump for president? Are you kidding? Trump has no intentions on running for President! This is just another publicity stunt to boost his "Celebrity Apprentice" ratings! Someone ought to wake that thing up that's sleeping on his head. I think it's depriving his brain of oxygen!

Why would anyone vote for a person that is not even in politics? Trump is a joke. Whether you are republican or democrat, please, anyone is better than Trump! He just wants his face out there.

Obama inherited a country already in disarray, and you all say he sucks. I am not saying he has done an excellent job, but don't act as if he has done any worst than the past few prez's. Let me guess he ran the national debt up to where it is? Better yet he is the reason we had, a recession? How about how he has lowered the unemployment rate? Yeah exactly, some of you only focus on the negative, and regurgitate what you hear others say. No wonder this country sucks. It's made up of a bunch of followers.

OMG - you nearly made me spit out my coffee! Do you not realize in your post, Matt, you regurgitated liberal talking points? Yet those of us who disagree with Obama's socialist agenda are somehow "followers"?
LMAO!!!
Well, if Trump wants good ratings, he'd better get some better apprentice wanna-bees. This group is hard to watch. They are so self-conscious and painfully needy, one has to
look away more than at the show, which at first I enjoyed. As for voting for Trump for President? Absolutely not. He's a huckster. And if I'm going to vote for a huckster, I'd prefer to vote for one who can at least fool me into thinking he's not one, until I've voted for him.

I am thoroughly amazed at how the American public is required to take government in school, but has no clue of the term checks and balances. The American public is continously looking for someone to blame, but fail to realize that everything is run through the House of Representatives and The Senate before it even gets to any Presidents desk. So why aren't we blaming the 538 Congressional leaders in our country? They are the ones that add in all the stipulations profitting their own gain before doing what is best for the American public, because they need to have their corporate sponsors to fund their next election.
If we elect people based on their celebrity status we are really going to look like donkeys to the world. Face facts people the rich cannot possibly relate realistically to the poor, neither can Congressional Leaders. They are paid large, have small taxes, can afford healthcare, can afford private schools for their children, and talk a really good talk. Donald Trumps Apprentices are all celebrities and are well paid or have been well paid at some time. We are the problem.

Donald Trump makes an active choice every day to wear his hair that way, which should make everyone question his decision-making ability. Celebrities might "say" they would vote for him, but I doubt anyone would seriously choose a clown-like attention seeker to run the country.

Donald Trump is nothing but a bully. America does not need another bully or our kids mimicking this type of behavior. He is NO good for the American people!
