Lindsay Lohan Feels She's Being Punished Because She's a Star

After returning to Lynwood Correctional Facility on Friday for a five-hour stay before posting bail, Lindsay Lohan has now come to the conclusion that she is being punished simply because she's a celebrity.

"She is being treated differently from everyone else because she is famous," a source close to Lindsay tells me. "We were all in shock when she was forced to return to jail just to make an example out of her. It's not right. Especially when she is working so hard to live a healthy life."

On Friday, a judge ruled that Lindsay, who has been accused of stealing a necklace, was in violation of probation. After five hours in jail, she posted bail and will remain free pending an appeal.

"She is innocent and can't understand what is going on," my source tells me. "She didn't steal any necklace and will be found innocent. It's obvious this is only happening because she is famous and anyone that thinks celebrities get away with stuff or let off will think again after seeing this."

However, Dan Abrams, ABC News legal analyst and founder of Mediaite.com, disagrees.

"I know it's hard for some to believe, but Lindsay Lohan is basically being treated the same way any DUI, probation violating, accused small-time thief would be treated by the L.A. judicial system."

I am so damn sick of hearing about poor little Lindsey ... it's time for the self promoting could have been a good actress to get a grip and a life .... she's proved over the years that she's a druggie, a boozer, a theif and incapable of operating a car .... and then there's the fact that when she find a job she can't hold on to it ... she's made her bed so it's time for he to sleep on what no doubt are dirty sheets!!!!

I was just about to write just what you have. She has to realize that, because she is (or was) a star, that that does not give her the privilege to do these things that are against the law for the rest of us. I don't see her getting any special treatment or extra punishment for her crimes more than anyone else would. I think that probably because she was mollycoddled all of her young life that she believe that that is her 'normal'. It may take her another 25 years to figure this out, if she ever does. It is a shame because she 'could have been a contender'. Now she's just a bum.

She violated her probation ans is required to return to jail. The probation violation is separate from the theft charge, which is being dropped down from a felony to a misdemeanor (opening a new round of plea bargain negotiations). She is being treated like anyone else in her situation would be. She must grow up and learn to face the consequesnces of her actions.

"Star"? Lindsay is a HAS BEEN. Life Cereal's "Mikey" is a bigger "star" than she is. Lohan's being punished (if you can call what she's gotten so far "punishment") because she breaks the law. Like daddy, like daughter.

She's got it twisted... she is being given "preferential" treatment because she is not an average citizen, a has been star who's most recent claim to fame is being tabloid fodder. If you or I did some of the crap this girl has done, we'd still be in jail or blowing on the alcohol detection device to start our car or we'd, did I mention, be in jail for breaking probation and again, locked up for stealing... she's D-e-l-u-d-e-d!

First, Marty, it is LindsAy not LindsEy. If you're gonna criticize at least get the name straight.

I was worse of a drug addict & alchy than sweet sexy beautiful Lindsay could ever be. I have had 6 DUI's, loads of drug arrests/drunk in publics, stealing booze from stores, etc. That was over 30 yrs. ago. I am going on 30 yrs. of sobriety. I had to hit bottom which was being homeless for 6 mos. Obviously she has not hit bottom yet. But it is self-righteous hypocrites like you that we do not need, that goes for all the other HYPOCRITES posting here.

Marty... I'm with you all the way.
First off...she is NOT a star. She is a wanna be spoiled brat, with an ego the size of a mountain. No one has been treated better than her. The non stop tax dollar for her court dates are rediculous, and I am sick of paying them.
Now Leno defends her and Kisses her arzzz? He has the nerve to defend all Her garbage behavior? One thing is sure....I will never watch his show again. Hope his rating hit bottom, and she does the fill 120 days of jail time. . .

PUNISHED because she is a star. I think being a "star" is the only reason she hasn't been behind bars sooner. She feels now as if she can get away with anything and I think that is a danger to all. She is not a stable person. Any "normal" person who has done all she has would have been locked up a long time ago, we just don't have the money her and other "stars" do. Cry me a river. Don't steal and you won't get in trouble.

Is she serious? I guess you could say she IS getting treated differently because she is a celebrity but in the way she thinks. She has been given MANY more chances than anyone else would have been given. By now, anyone else would have served a lot more time than she has at drug treatment centers (not spa ones) and jail time. I am sick and tired of hearing her whine. When is a judge going to grow some balls and stick this girl in jail or in a REAL drug treatment center for some REAL time.
