Lindsay Lohan Feels She's Being Punished Because She's a Star

After returning to Lynwood Correctional Facility on Friday for a five-hour stay before posting bail, Lindsay Lohan has now come to the conclusion that she is being punished simply because she's a celebrity.

"She is being treated differently from everyone else because she is famous," a source close to Lindsay tells me. "We were all in shock when she was forced to return to jail just to make an example out of her. It's not right. Especially when she is working so hard to live a healthy life."

On Friday, a judge ruled that Lindsay, who has been accused of stealing a necklace, was in violation of probation. After five hours in jail, she posted bail and will remain free pending an appeal.

"She is innocent and can't understand what is going on," my source tells me. "She didn't steal any necklace and will be found innocent. It's obvious this is only happening because she is famous and anyone that thinks celebrities get away with stuff or let off will think again after seeing this."

However, Dan Abrams, ABC News legal analyst and founder of Mediaite.com, disagrees.

"I know it's hard for some to believe, but Lindsay Lohan is basically being treated the same way any DUI, probation violating, accused small-time thief would be treated by the L.A. judicial system."

The courts will wait until she gets drunk and kills someone or she dies from an overdose then they'll say "Gee we should have done something sooner"She has not been a star for a long time,she should get over herself.

She's right. She is being treated differently because of her fame. If she wasn't rich and famous, she would have been locked up for parole violations years ago and she definately would not be out on bail right now. Maybe if she were locked up with the general population in the jail, it might be enough of a wake up call to staighten her out and possibly save her life in the long run.

She's being punished! What a joke, she broke the law, she has broken the rules of her probation, she should be in jail, the fact she is a "star" (in her mind) is the only reason she isn't doing more time. Lock her up and throw away the key and maybe other "stars" will soon understand they are people like the rest of us who must live by the rules!

There is a flaw in this theory and that is that Lohan is NOT a star. She is notorious and there's a big difference. Miss Lohan seems to confuse media attention with actually being a star. She just doesn't seem to get it; people are only laughing at her. She has no acting abilities and people are not clamoring to see her at onscreen.

Lindsay's first problem is that she actually believes she did nothing wrong when she walked out of the store wearing a necklace she hadn't paid for, and then wore it in yet ANOTHER day (there are photos) instead of returning it. Her second problem is believing herself to be a "star", which she is only in her own mind and those of her delusional mother and family. She once had star potential, key word being "potential", but she has SO much to live down and make up for before she has a shot at being anything but notorious.

Lindsay is NOT a STAR! She may be a "star" at getting into trouble and "manipulating" the judicial system. She's been to rehab...about 5 times and to jail at least 5 times as well! I've lost count of her many jail stints. I wonder if the five (5) hours she served (on Good Friday, April 22nd) while waiting for her attorney to get a bail-bondsman to post her bail will "count" towards "time served" when she actually DOES begin to serve the 120 days that this most recent judge gave to her? Does she get like 5 days = 5 hours of "time served" and also (an "oldie but a goodie") due to 'Jail Overcrowding' ??
