Lindsay Lohan's Sentence: To Stare Death in the Eye

Sentenced to 480 hours of community service for violating her probation (incurred from a 2007 DUI), for 120 of those hours Lindsay Lohan will look death in the eye -- literally.

According to PEOPLE, Lohan, 24, will be serving a portion of her community service hours at the LA County Department of Coroner's facility doing a myriad of janitorial tasks including picking up and emptying trash as well as cleaning floors and bathrooms.

"She won't be handling any dead bodies but she'll certainly see them," Coroner Assistant Chief, Ed Winter, told People.

But this brush with death isn't anything new for Lohan. She served her previous 2007 community service hours at the facility. But this time Lohan will be seeing more than dead people. She will serve her remaining 360 community service hours at LA's Downtown Women's Center.

The troubled starlet, who has a 120-day jail sentence to look forward to, has one year to complete all of her service hours.

Following her most recent hearing, during which her grand theft charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, Lohan's lawyer filed an appeal of her 120-day sentence. Lohan is currently free on bail, after a bondsman put up $75,000, until her forthcoming May 11 pretrial hearing in which she will receive a sentence for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California boutique.

Lohan previously refused a plea deal which, in turn, led to a judge's warning that her case would definitely involve jail time -- her criminal misdemeanor sentence will be in addition to her 120-day sentence for probation violation.

Only one question remains. What does one wear to work at a morgue?

Why are people not surprised that one of Charlie Sheen's angels has split? Its really all about money and publicity.

If she gets behind the wheel of a car drunk and hurts or kills someone can they hold the courts responsible. Someone should be held responsible for her actions if she does not have to be?

She's a total brat, and can't stand these young actors that flaunt, and throw their wealth in our faces, just to go unpunished. I hope she rots at the morgue.

She needs to go to real jail for just one week. By real jail, I mean where the regular people get sent to serve longer sentences for lesser crimes than Lohan is guilty of.

Just one week in that environment, and maybe her reality check won't bounce. And if she is worried about her safety, they can provide a secure location for her. In solitary.

But we all know it won't happen. She's LL and she can do no wrong. /vomit

Or at the local zoo or horse race tracks.

Actually, they should be having her helping out with a mortician preparing dead bodies for presentation at funeral homes. Or lend a hand in helping the coroner. Perhaps taking notes while the coroner cuts up the body in search of why this person died. This way Ms. Lohan will not only be viewing dead bodies, she be experiencing the sights, sounds and odors of of the autopsy room in action. In addition, every time she pukes because of this, the judge can add extra 3 days each time.

I hate when people do this but he i go. If they need help there why do not we put the people sponging on welfare there and get something for the money we are paying them. Not as a punishment but get them working.

I hope she will serve all 120 days as she as been a jack in the box. People like her have to be given the max the law will allow
because she is a spoiled brat. It seems according to the news to
many people from money are often dealt with kid gloves while others pay a bug price.
