Lindsay Lohan Tapes 'Tonight Show' Appearance, Receives Standing Ovation

Lindsay Lohan stopped by 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno' Monday to tape her first appearance since being sentenced to jail and received a surprisingly warm welcome from the crowd.

According to RadarOnline.com, the studio audience was apparently thrilled that Lohan stopped by to chat, rising to their feet to cheer when she entered. Those hoping to catch Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth will have to wait -- her appearance was bumped due to Lohan's last-minute sit-down.

Lohan reportedly told Leno that her recent 120-day jail sentence for probation violation was "shocking" and that the sentence "left her numb."

Besides sharing her feelings on her legal woes, Lohan confirmed the news that she will join the cast of 'Gotti: The Generations.'

The actress is currently out on $75,000 bail while she appeals the sentence, which also includes a hefty amount of community service. Lohan is due back in court June 3 for her jewelry theft trial, with a pretrial date set for May 11.

Leno's interview with Lohan airs tonight on NBC.

I haven't viewed the tonight show for a long time and whilst I
personally have no inherent hostility for Jay Leno, because of this incident, I will make sure I avoid even the possibly of ever viewing the tonight show ever again.
I'll avoid like I avoid getting the clap. I DESPISE LINDSAY LOHAN AND HER WHOLE FAMILY OF DRUNKARDS, DRUG ADDICTS AND THEIVES.
Lindsay Lohan is a morally low down dirty dog reprehensible peice of sub human garbage. she's lower on the life form scale than some viral disease germ.

Kristin starred on Broadway in the award-winning, amazing "Wicked," has been in numerous movies like "Four Christmases" and "You Again," and has been on Glee, Frasier, The West Wing, Pushing Daisies, Ugly Betty, etc. And she gets bumped for a criminal who hasn't done anything worthwhile in over 5 years? How sad.

A white celebrity I can think of off the top of my head that served their full sentence is Keifer Sutherland.

Read what JW wrote about Lohan. He is very correct in what he has to say. Unfortunately the law and court system in this country has a double standard for those that have fame and fortune and for those who have not. Lohan proves on a very regular basis that her fame and fortune can buy her way out of jail every time. Sadly the only way she might ever do time is if her irresponsible lifestyle ends up killing an innocent bystander.

I will clap and cheer when the biatch has to serve at least half of her jail term for the iolations and the theft. The morons cheering and clapping did it because it was part of the show and all for rating to have this narcissistic piece of garbage

What an entitled, little narcissistic snot she is,and Jay, are you so desperate for ratings you actually bumped a scheduled guest. Who gave her a standing ovation? And yet, she continues to get her way. She's grown-up now, where? She's sometime lesbian, party queen, knows no boundaries, and is probably one of the saddest people I have ever read about. She certainly has a lot of nerve bumping another actress as a 'walk on' and 'stopping by'. If I were Kristin, I certainly wouldn't want to appear on his show after that. Kristin had an appointment...Lohan didn't.

She's only out on bail while her lawyer appeals the sentence. She hasn't walked on the 120 days (yet). Not to say she'll eventually serve any or all of the time, but the final decision on that hasn't been made yet.

So she shows up at the studio, and they bump someone else so she can be on the show. Dunb move Leno, no one cares about her and the ratings for tonights show will be down, way down. She has nothing important to say anyway.

Lindsey hasn't done anything that most teenagers haven't. Oh Wait...I take that back!! Most teenagers today walk around shooting people, having babies by the age of 15, have unprotected sex and spreading diseases. Lindsey did't kill anyone. Your right having money might have played a roll in her not doing jail time. Just look at O.J. he had money and got away with a double murder! LOL
