Joey Lawrence Supports a Donald Trump Presidential Run

He's more than well versed in the politics of made for TV movies and now Joey Lawrence is throwing his two cents into the real political ring -- he's endorsing
Donald Trump's potential bid for presidency.
Forget President Obama who he says did not follow through on his promises of hope and change, Lawrence believes that Trump is the real change that this country needs to see.
"I'd be open to Donald," he told
Fox News. "He's somebody out of the box and I think that some of the stuff he's saying makes sense."
And Lawrence isn't mincing words -- he believes that if America wants to be a super power, well then, it better start acting like one.
"I'm tired of 'so politically correct' every step of the way. It's like there are times when we need to say, 'We're getting our rear ends kicked, we are the world leader, we need to step up and act like it.'"
But the 'Joey & Melissa' actor went on to say that he keeps his political views private because "that's the best way to do it." And keeping things private, of course, Lawrence believes that Trump has what it takes to turn the country around because of his tremendous business savvy.
"I think Donald is an interesting character. He's an amazing CEO, this is a business. This is a business, running this country is a business and it has not been run the last decade the right way, whether it's Republican or Democrat, so it's not really a party issue, it's more of a person issue. Somebody has to get in there and really hold people accountable."
By that standard, the business woman behind the Kardashian empire, mom, Kris Jenner, could be a potential candidate. And if neither Trump nor Jenner end up throwing their hats into the ring, Lawrence himself may step up to the plate.
"I love politics. I love the country. Maybe I would [go into politics], I don't know," he said. "It's what I minored in at school, political science."

that's good. I was starting to think for myself there for a bit. What would we do without Hollywood to tell us how to vote?

what I dont understand in this country of ours is why we pay so much attention to celebreties. Who died and made them gods. There are a lot more well informed people out there that just do not get as much air time because I suppose it does not attract as much ad dollars etc. I say its time to hear a lot more from some of these people.

If the "stuff he's saying makes sense" then, naturally most of Hollywood will scoff at it. The fact that it does "make sense" makes no sense to this group of "pretenders" who usually are as uniformed or misinformed about the issues as are most democrats. Wait, that's being redundant isn't it? Just act, people and leave the important opinions to the politicians.

Joey Lawrence? Joey Lawrence????? Tell me why I should care. I don't make my decisions based on celebrity support and I wouldn't vote for Trump, the over-glorified car salesman, for animal control officer (that's dog catcher to those who don't get it) much less President of the U.S. He may have mob ties in his past. He's a pain in the butt to listen to and he has had failed businesses and marriages. What makes him qualified??? We know it isn't his hair! ;)

Ha ha! Like anyone would vote for Mr. Blowhard just because some no talent has been Hollywood freak thinks he likes him! Too funny! Joey Lawrence is about as politically savvy as my neighbor's two year old. I can't wait for Trump to fall on his face in his own mudpile.

I agree that the Republican Party needs new leadership and new direction. Unfortunately, they have squandered their Congressional gains and lost political momentum by advocating the following adgenda:
1. Abolishing Medicare's guarantee of medical care for Americans over 65, throwing them at the feet of Big Insurance.
2. Cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans below their already historic lows—down to 25%.
3. Which leads to bigger debts and deficits over the next decade, according to the independent, nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.
Is Trump electable? Is the electorate capable to vote on issues, rather than personal appeal? Will the Republican Party be receptive to a strong, independent leader? Or will he receive the H. Ross Perot treatment>

Proof not all actors are liberal buffoons. Some are conservative buffoons too.

I would also be open to The Donald if there is not a stronger candidate.
