Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora is checking into rehab for exhaustion and sobriety issues, RadarOnline.com reports."Richie recently has been drinking too much, and wants to get his life together," a source told Radar.
The guitar star has been on tour with Bon Jovi and reportedly needs time to regroup.
"Richie has had a busy year," a friend revealed. "I think this was a culmination of all the things that overloaded his life and finally he realized he needed to take care of himself."
This isn't the first trip to rehab for the rocker, who spent time at Cirque Lodge in Utah in 2007 following his divorce from Heather Locklear and split with girlfriend Denise Richards.

I have to agree with you... Bobby is a true New Jersey gem... I have been fortunate enough to catch him playing live at the shore over the past 15 or so years and he is a talent beyond belief...

When you do.
It's not easy keeping our life on track when your constantly in motion! Think of how you feel after staying at a friends for the weekend. You need time to relax. These guys are gone for weeks, months at a time! I wish you best Richie!

Richie has always been a favorite of mine as far as rockers go. I think Heather was too quick to divorce him. The divorce and his father dying took a toll on him and all the traveling and being away from home for some people is just not easy. Divorce is devastating and some people never fully recover from the loss of a wife they love and of course his daughter Ava. I wish Richie the best. Have seen Bon Jovi twice in concert and they are my favorite band next to Aerosmith.
Richie has been a favorite of mine as well. What 'redhottamales' was saying is absolutely right... I think Heather saw the pics in his email and thought the very worst. She didn't even give him a chance to explain. He had to find out Heather was divorcing him through an interview he was doing! That's pretty low! I know he loved Heather and his daughter. Denise Richards was just a rebound - for both of them, I believe and Heather needs to get over that....
We love you Richie! Best Wishes for you.

You jerks putting Sambora down have no idea what it's like on the road. You're on such an adrenaline rush when playing in front of thousands of people and then what do you do with the other 22 hours of the day? Most of it is waiting around to play the next night, so you look for a way to fill it. Unfortunately alcoholism and drug addiction feeds on these folks. So instead of calling him a loser and opening your pie holes to say something you know nothing about, SHUT THE F UP! I now Richie and I know he'll pull through this, just like I did (for 12 years now) and just like a lot of other performers have.

BOO HOO, Friggin excuses!
Congratulations on your recovery and constant journey.
I wish Richie all the best.
And for all the judgmental people out there...you are one decision/choice away from devastation. I hope you are not judged as harshly as you judge others.
Axle is that you ? I was wondering where you have been. LMFAO
and this is news, who cares!

Good luck, Richie. We still love you! I did not realize that he was having a problem once again, but wish him the best of luck. He looked great when he was here in DC on Feb. 27 at the Verizon Center. It will be a good while before I see the guys againm but the 11th time in February was truly one of the best shows ever!
