Bride Kate Middleton walked down the aisle Friday to marry longtime love Prince William in a stunning gown designed by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton.According to ABC News, the gown features long sleeves, an ivory and lace bodice and 58 gazar and organza covered buttons down the back. Middleton also wore a short lace veil and a tiara, while her hair remained down.
The world has been waiting for months to see what Middleton would wear when she walked down the aisle and the bride's choice didn't let the masses down.
Fashion expert Tim Gunn called the dress "ravishing," adding that "she is not disappointing."
Some of Burton's other famous clients include Sarah Jessica Parker, Cate Blanchett, Kate Moss and First Lady Michelle Obama.

I really liked Kate's dress and veil....wasn't expecting that. Beautiful!! I am glad she didn't go for the bling. Very romantic feel to it. I also loved Pippa's dress!! That was my favorite. She looked stunning. Those little boys stole the show though.
Overall it was a pleasant surprise. It seems like she truly stuck to her own style without outside pressure.

hard to belive in todays world with high unemployment, taxes, food prices, oil, that the Brits still support the so called royals. I have no respect for them.

If you are going to make such a serious allegation, you should have done some googling on the facts... the royals are cheap, when you look at the per capita costs, and for the UK, it is their governmental structure. I doubt they care if you approve.
oh shut up the royals serve a function and always have. those little page boys were adorable like William was when he was and his uncle Andrew's wedding 25 years ago

Does anyone know how tall Kate is and how much she weighs????

I was so looking forward to that dress and veil and I am sorry to say that she looked like a nun. If it had been black it would have been a habit with a train. For someone who could have had any designer and any style of dress, this was just ridiculous! It had no style and was so plain, and to be honest she looked depressed and sad. Her sister on the other hand was stunning and did have a beautiful and stylish dress on. (And why do the young British look so old in there 20's and 30's?)

I was very.. disappointed with Kates choice in dresses and so was my mother. We both woke up at 3 Am for this event. William looked Dashing. We expected her to top Diana's gown big time. She was so under that it wasn't even funny! First of all.. the sleeves of this dress were the same exact sleeves my grandmother had on her wedding dress and she is 94. The only thing that dress did was date her and show off her tiny waist. I am not sure if she typically is a busty woman. If so.. that dress made her look flat chested. There was absolutely nothing sexy at all about this dress in the least. They say.. she is under stated and simple. Well.. okay. But with her shape and money she could have chosen much more age appropriate dresses that flattered more then her waist line. Also.. she could have blown us all away with a dress even more magnificent then Dianas. She did the opposite! Also.. the train was short and dragging on the ground. What was that all about? The train was too short to make a dramatic entrance. The horse and carriage was understated as well. Nothing great there either. Her hair.. was hanging straight down. Like always. Nothing pulled up and twisted and did not match the dated dress at all. She went with a youthful plain ordinary every day hair style. The dress looked ancient. But in white. Terrible Terrible taste in wedding dresses for a beautiful and poised bride.

I have to disagree. I love Kate's wedding dress. It had a medieval retro look. Unlike Diana's wedding gown which was too clumsy, Kate's was simple and elegant, but to each its own.
KATE LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL IN HER MAKEUP AND IT IS KNOWN she did it herself which she did a great job. A huge DISAPOINTMENT ON THE DRESS I AGREE WITH OTHERS WHO HAVE CONFIRMED SHE LOOKED QUITE PLAIN, NUT OTHERS SAY THAT WAS ELEGANCE. I JUST WANT TO POINT OUT A VERY IMPORTANT THING WHICH IS, NORMAL PEOPLE BUY BETTER DRESS, KATIE PRICE BROUGHT A DRESS FROM PARIS ONCE CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, BUT IT LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL,AND I KNOW THERE IS GRAND OUT THERE BUT SADLY KATE NEVER HAD SPARKLE OR BLING, I HATE BRIDES THAT CHOOSE TO WEAR NOT DIAMOND NECKLACE OR NO LOVLY EARRINGS. kate looked as though her dress was old from closet and it had been dry cleaned. i wish we saw wow factor, diana was so eye catching, why was not kate, the designer i blame !

I was SHOCKED. Kate's dress was terribly plain- whereas Lady Di's was totally beautiful- so regal and fit for the occasion. Pippa's
dress was "ghastly" like a nightgown!! Capped sleeves- so tasteless.
I don't understand this bodice on the wedding gown- it looked like
a sewn-in bra- not very flattering. Anyways Will deserves happiness in his life- pitiful childhood- Kate will be good for him.
