Hats Off to Royal Wedding Guests

All eyes were on
Prince William and
Kate Middleton this morning as the future King and Queen of England exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey. But a few guests stole the couple's spotlight even if only for a moment.
The Royal Wedding has been touted as the "
biggest fashion show on earth," and from the looks of it, every attendee took their invite as a chance to channel their inner fashionista. While Middleton stunned in a dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, gorgeous hats of all shapes and sizes sat perched on heads as far as the eye could see.
With a
gushing husband,
David Beckham at her side,
Victoria Beckham wore one of her own designs, altering it to accommodate her growing baby bump and matched the charcoal frock with a pillbox hat by designer, Philip Treacy.
Beckham wasn't the only guest to accessorize her outfit with a hat by the London milliner.
Best known for his ready to wear hats and couture handbags, Treacy was the designer of choice for fabulous hats. Princesses Beatrice, 22, and Eugenie, 21, (cousins to Prince William and Prince Harry and daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson) also wore creations by Treacy.
Although the designer hails from Galway, Ireland, his name should ring a bell with Americans. Treacy has designed hats for the 'Harry Potter' films and most notably, Sarah Jessica Parker's hat for the premiere of 'Sex and the City' in 2008.

I am sorry, but Fergies girls look like Princess Katherines ugly step sisters!!

Beatrice is wearing a fruity fruit bowl and Eugenia donned a door knocker. Is Fergie never on hand to advise? Or are they playing their cards right and not speaking to her? Treacy does great hats but these two -- and the dresses -- are Halloween.

i think this shos how far and extreme women(self absorbed) will go to call attention to themselves. They all look like kooky krazy birds. Every male will tell you that these hats are not attractive to them at all. These mentally deranged women are trying to outdo and one up themselves by wearing the most retarded hats they can find and then they call it fashion.

It occurred to me that, since Sarah Ferguson (Beatrice and Eugenie's mother) was NOT invited to the wedding (indeed, she was told to "disappear" for the day), that might have been her daughter's way of saying "up yours" to the crown for keeping her mother away.
If not, then those two have certainly gone out of their way to look STUPID at their cousin's wedding.

They all looked like a bunch of clowns! What is this 'fashion' thing people speak of?
It was hilarious and sad all at once

I find it sad that Beatrice and Eugenie went to the wedding in such awful outfits and hats. I wish Fergie could have guided them into more fashionable outfits. I also was sad to see Princess Ann looking so awful.
Are designers afraid to tell them they are wrong in their choices or do they refuse to listen?
All that money and all that exposure and no taste let alone fashion sense.

I really like the brides dress, it was very pretty and gorgeous on her. But her new relatives Beatrice and Eugenie needs help. I do like Beatrice dress only, the hats though makes it look like had a brain spasm when deciding to wear it. Eugenie's dress is horrible an old fashioned for such a young lady.
