The recessional march from Westminster Abbey that ended the historic wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton (make that Duchess of Cambridge) began a long day full of photo ops.As the family gathered inside the throne room of Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth II sat next to her husband, Prince Philip, for their grandson's official family portrait with his new bride. The newlyweds look genuinely delighted striking a regal pose alongside their parents, siblings and young wedding party (on the far left, 3-year-old bridal attendant Grace Van Cutsem was typically contrarian about all the pomp and circumstance). Best man Prince Harry cracks a grin next to the groom, but why was Maid of honor Pippa Middleton banished to the edge of the group?

I beg to differ. The marriage of Charles and Diana was fated not to survive no matter. Charles was forced to marry. it is a shame he was not man enough to say "no". In the end many lives were destroyed by the simple fact of the Church of England and royal family belief, the bride must be a virgin.....give me a break. It is sad that Diana was not around to see her boys grow up but you cannot put the blame entirely on Charles and Camilla. Obviously they truly loved one another. Obviously Charles and Diana did not love each other enough to make it work. That is life. If her sons can accept it, we all should be able too. They loved both of their parents and you could see they did not like time spent with Dodie al Fayed. They clearly seem to like Camilla. Had Diana lived I think she would have looked at it all differently. And matured. She did many good things with her life. I am glad to see Camilla in the pictures. Life is never easy and sometimes we must move on. If the sons of Charles and Diana can, we all should be able too.
Made me sick to see camilla's ugly mug! Diana hated this tramp and it was an insult for her to even be at this event. She is nothing but trash.

Pippa was "banished " to the end of the picture because their dresses would blend in. Kate needed to to stand out and she and her sister would have blended

everyone talks about sister wearing white, the bride picks out color and style of bridesmaid dress. its not like it was a surprise. it was designed by the same person who designed wedding dress.

They already said that Pippa wore white as they felt if the bridesmaids wear color it detracts from the bride. Also, its unfortunate that Camilla is there instead of their mother, but she is married to the slug Charles and that is the woman he has always loved, so everyone is stuck with her, they just had to except it and move on.

I don't think Camilla should have been in the pictures..or that she should have gone back with them (as a parent) to sign the marriage certificate at the church. That whole family is a mess ! Hopefully Catherine and William can bring some dignity back to them if possible after the last 50 years, going back to
the Princess Margaret issues. Also, there is no way that Harry is Charles' son !! Look up pictures of Hewitt that Diana had an affair with...Harry is his mirror image. Diana turned to Hewitt when she realized that Camilla was in their marriage too.

First of all,Diane had an affair with Hewitt after Harry was born.Second, Camilla is married to their father and has the right to be in the photo. Btw, Camilla's granddaughter was one of the little attendants.
Harry doesn't look anything like Hewitt but he DOES look like pictures of Charles as a child. Grow up.
You should Google Diana's sister who looks very much like Harry, squared face and red hair. Harry looks like her more than Hewitt
I REALLY HONEST TO GOODNESS, NEED TO SAY THAT CAMILLA BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES WHEN I FOUND OUT HOW SHE REALLY CHASED CHARLES. GOD BE WITH THEM, BUT I FEEL THAT DIANNE WAS SO YOUNG WHEN SHE MARRIED AN OLDER MAN, ESPECIALLY ONE EXPECTED TO BE KING SOME DAY, THAT SHE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO REALLY CONTEMPLATE WHAT WAS HAPPENING. SHE WAS SO SWEET AND DIFFERENT. I FEEL SHE NEEDED SOME HELP WITH THAT PROBLEM BECAUSE SHE REALLY SHOULD BE THE QUEEN.

The wedding was beautiful, everyone looked wonderful! Camilla ruined it all and I think Charles is the problem cause he easily could of put a stop to her, noticed the queen ignored her. Those boys only accept her because of their Dad,no child could FORGET what was done to their Mom! Diana raised them right and thats why they are forgiving but forget,NO WAY!!!!!

I agree with Rosie. As much as I loved Diana (my eldest has her name as middle name) look at it from Charles perspective. He was best friends with Camilla for years, had feelings and love for her that whole time but was not able to marry her. He never wanted Diana and you can't fault him for that. You love who you love, we have no control. His duties to his family ruined his life. Men love too. No one hurt anyone on purpose. He was a wordly man married to a child and that must have been so hard on him. He is happy, Diana is at peace, William married his friend and everyone is well. Move on.

Ignorant Americans...it is customary in England to wear white dummies and is not frowned upon in that country. That is not America stupids, they have different customs and traditions. Now go back to TV and potato chips.

Shut up "K" - The Americans!
If Diana would have been alive she would have been in that picture, not Camilla. But maybe who knows, she just might have been had the Queen permitted it. As far as Pipa wearing white, thats British protocol. Remember, in china, the brides wear red. Red is a honorable color for them. White symbolizes sadness and mourning. They wear white only when someone dies. So, its only strange and out of place to us Americans, but not for the British and thats just fine. My well wishes to Prince William and his Princess Catherine. Beautiful wedding and both were absolutely stunning.

Charles should have left ugly Camilla at home. She acts like some of the marbles are missing,Dah,which way did they go.....Wedding was so nice,I hope Diana was happy with her boy....

I lost all respect for the British Royals when Charles married Camilla. Her shame should have taken her on a face-saving vacation. I might have respected her for that.
Another question is where was the Spencer family? Diana's brother and sisters were invited but excluded from everything else while Camilla was front and center. Bad form and disrespectful to Diana's memory in my opinion.

I think they are a beautiful couple. I also think Camilla should not have been in the picture. It is a slap in the face to Diana's memory. After the public disgrace the palace suffered because of her, she should have never been allowed to marry Charles nor given a title. If he wanted her that badly, he should have followed his great-uncle's example and abdicated his claim to the throne. On top of that, Charles is too old for the throne now anyway. William is younger and stronger. It should be his turn.
