Rick Springfield Arrested for DUI

Rocker Rick Springfield should have done a bit more thinking before he rolled out last night -- the 'Jessie's Girl' crooner was arrested on Sunday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to PEOPLE.

Springfield, 61, was pulled over in Malibu for a traffic violation before the presiding police officer, who smelled alcohol emanating from Springfield's car, discovered that he was under the influence. After failing several sobriety tests -- his blood alcohol level was .10 while the legal limit is .08 -- Springfield was arrested.

Just one more celebrity drowning their name in the DUI bucket, unfortunately the famed and fabulous lot have yet to take drunk driving seriously.

Hey Rick, you "Drunk driving Loser Boozer" How would it feel if someone were to drive drunk like you and kill that wife of yours ,think about that Karma next time you DUI threatening the lives of other innocent people! Lay off the hooch,the plastic surgery and the hair dye you look pathetic.

.10 is quite a small amount of alcohol.........ease up on him. our DUI laws are too harsh. They need the laws but MADD have gone crazy. Some want alcohol banned altogether....good luck w/ that.

@alan: The reason why the laws are set at .08 is because some people can be obliterated from sniffing a cork from the wine bottle. Some people have higher tolerances to booze than others, good for them. The ones who don't are the ones we have to protect ourselves from. You must've celebrated your most recent DUI with a drink, Dude.

Met him in New Mexico 30 years ago and he was wasted then. You can see it in his face that he never stopped. Get some help, and choose to live or at this rate you won't be around for long. Too bad.

I saw Rick Springfield at a concert at an outdoor casino area last year, and he was very loud and obnixious, lot of people left during his concert, there was another concert before him, and they all like them then him.

LOL He's on Hawaii 5-0 TONIGHT. Good timing Rick.

He was at Mall of America sometime in the past year signing his book. He got relegated to the secondary signing/event area because some Nickelodeon boy band was performing. It was kind of sad but also on the nose

Well I met him and I went to a concert many, many years ago. He was really good, and nice when I met him, took pictures and gave kisses out to everyone who wanted them. I'm sadden to hear how sad he was in his past life from the book. He was honest, a tad maybe too honest, if you can be that, but I wish you'd get it together brother.
