Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon Renew Their Wedding Vows

The day after the birth of
Mariah Carey and
Nick Cannon's
twins in Los Angeles on Saturday (April 30), the power couple had their wedding vows renewed by the Rev. Al Sharpton, while still in the hospital.
The Baptist minister, activist and radio-television correspondent said that, in addition to renewing their vows, he was also "very moved" at the couple's request that he bless their newborn boy and girl.
"I was very moved by Mariah and Nick's commitment to want their babies prayed over in their first 24-hours of their life and continue their annual tradition of renewing their marriage vows," Sharpton explained. "In a time where so many entertainment figures become captives of their success, their commitment to their spiritual life and wanting their beautiful twins born in that atmosphere is exemplary and worthy of admiration."
April 30 marks not only the birth of Carey and Cannon's twins, but also, auspiciously, their third wedding anniversary.
"The babies are simply a gift from God. I am very proud of Nick and Mariah," Rev. Al affirmed.
Before the birth, Cannon joked that he and Carey might be forced to renew their vows from the hospital, and it turned out he was correct. "Yep, we just had a wedding in the hospital," Cannon
tweeted on Sunday. "Thank you to @THEREVAL who came all the way to the hospital to renew me and my wife's vows and pray with our children."
The couple have yet to reveal the names of their twins.

Seriously, get a life! That "first" crap is annoying and infantile. Are you even old enough to be in here?
Such a blessing...I really honor this couple, although they receive a lot of uncessary hatred, it's childish and people need to realize that they are both extremely happy and God blesses them continuously (i.e., their twins were born on their 3rd wedding anniversary!) Such a gift!

I personally don't care much for Mariah and don't have an opinion on Nick either way, but these two seem truly happy together and I sincerely wish them the best with their marriage and their precious new babies. Life is good! Good for them! :)
I am glad to hear from someone who is not badmouthing like some other people do.
Yeah, God is blessing Mariah and Nick. They are a great and solid couple.
People who despise them are probably jealous or miserable with their own life.
I'm happy for them too, but you are aware that without scientific and (very) probably surgical intervention, neither of these events would have occurred? I believe they would have had better odds at hitting Mega Millions than to give non-surgical birth to naturally conceived male/female twins on one's anniversary.
they'll be divorced in 2 years.

And what about your relationship, that is if you have one?
I'm sick of hearing about this overrated cow who had to use her pregnancy for publicity. Go away.

Mariah Carey gave birth to twins and renewed her wedding vows all on the same day, People reported Monday.
Carey, 42, and her husband, actor Nick Cannon, 30, also found time to bless the two newborns — a boy and a girl — immediately after they were delivered Saturday.
The two ceremonies were conducted by their friend, the Rev. Al Sharpton, who visited Carey at a Los Angeles hospital.
"I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3rd anniversary," Sharpton wrote Sunday on Twitter. "I had prayer with them and the babies, I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins."

is it just me or does anyone else find these two syrupy and revolting?

First they wanted their "privacy." (Like anyone ever really cared to begin with.) NOW we can't get rid of them! Go away, raise your children and spend your money!
