Hat Trick: How Fergie Got Last Laugh at Wedding
Even though The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, was not invited to attend the Royal Wedding on Friday, she had the last laugh when her bold daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie turned up in those
ridiculous and show-stopping hats.
"I'm sure Sarah helped pick out those hats," a close friend of Fergie's tells me. "The one thing Sarah hates more than anything is being ignored and this was her way of saying f-you to the family who would rather pretend she doesn't exist."
Beatrice's intricate bow-like hat raised eyebrows from the second she stepped out of her car at Westminster Abby, while her younger sister's royal blue fashion statement included purple flowers and large white feathers.
Reviews were pretty consistently bad for the hats.
The Daily Mail called their fascinators "ludicrous" and "flops" and Tori Spelling told
E! that "they looked a little crazytown."
There's even a blog for goofing on B's hat, aptly named
Princess Beatrice and Her Hat.
"There is a lot of competition within the family to out-dress each other," my insider tells me. "And nothing draws more attention to you than an elaborate hat. I guarantee you that a lot of time, thought and money went into selecting these works of art. Nothing happens by chance in that family!"

the hats fergie`s daughters wore to the royal
wedding were the worst hats i`ve ever seen,
including the one that posh spice had on her head
she look like she was going to a funeral.

You may have meant Queen Elizabeth, but anyone who really knows what they are talking about did NOT know what you meant because the Queen's mother, also Elizabeth, was the Queen mum and she's dead. Queen Elizabeth will never be the Queen mum unless she abdicates. Until then, she's the queen.

They kinda reminded me of the 2 wicked step sisters in Cinderella.....how pathetic the attempt to upstage William and Kate's Wedding. So glad it was unsuccessful.

What has happen to love and being forgiving? I happen to like the hats. I think Fergie should have been invited to the wedding. Afterall, they forgave Charles and Camillia.

I'd love to have heard/hear what the Queens words to them were!
But they should Not have done that @ William & Kates' wedding.
It shows disrepect and those two defintely do not deserve that.

I am a divorced woman. When my ex-husband's family has a wedding I do not expect to be invited. Why would Fergie be invited? Give me a break, she is no longer a member of the family. Get over it!!!

How can anyone out there believe that Sarah had any say in what the girls wore to the wedding?? If you looked at ALL the women ,75 percent of their hats were funny looking.As for all of you that are calling these girls ugly. I say GROW UP!!! Wow adults going around calling young girls ugly,I hope you feel good about that! I hope if you have children they are all good looking. How would you like people to call your children ugly? That is NOT the way we should be treating anyone!!
