Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson 'Intense' PDA Shocks Press at Correspondents Dinner

Sean Penn and his rumored girlfriend Scarlett Johansson caused quiet a stir with their public display of affection at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend.

While Johansson came to the event with her brother Hunter, she was soon seen at the side of rumored live-in boyfriend Penn who attended as the guest of a media outlet.

The New York Post reports that Penn raised some eyebrows when he refused to put his hand over his heart when everyone stood up to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Later, despite the presence of President Barack Obama, other celebrities and members of the media, an eyewitness told UsMagazine.com that Penn, 50, and Johansson, 26, were engrossed in an 'intense' makeout session.

A witness is quoted saying, "She [Johansson] plopped down in his lap, and they were kissing. It happened right as the main course of the dinner was being put on the table"

Later on, the couple left the room for "an hour" and Penn reportedly came back to the table with his tie askew.

A witness is told Us that the couple had gone to one of the courtyard areas with a group of friends and said, "Scarlett was pawing at Sean, holding on to his hip while he was smoking. She gave him a short kiss. But then they took a walk some 30 feet away, broke off from the group and kissed some more."

The couple later separated but they were soon seen together at the Vanity Fair after-party where a witness said, "Around 1 a.m. Sean showed up and he and Scarlett were immediately side by side for the rest of the night. When they were walking out the door, Sean stopped her, took off his jacket and put it on her shoulders, saying, "It's cold out there." They then grabbed hands and walked out before 3 a.m."

I happen to find Sean Penn sexy. But that doesn't mean that I would make out with him at a White House event. And whoever said Al Pacino is a sexy "old" man, AMEN!

They probably figured the media would be talkin so they just gave them something to talk about on purpose! Should have showed more respect being at the Whitehouse and all and especially during the Star Spangled Banner Mr. Penn. Where would you be in any other country? Definately not a so called "movie star".

I gotta say, wife beating doesn't make one a beautiful person. Scarlett will show up with a shiner one of these days, but it'll take a while for her to leave. It's a frightening thing to admit - espcially to yourself - that you've chosen a monster.
Worse still, she'll be afraid of men, and her choice in men, for a long, long time afterward. Maybe even for good. It's sad to see women turn into shadows of their former selves, because the one person they are supposed to be able to trust and rely on more than anyone, beats the hell out of them. And then, of course, she'll be afraid to open her mouth, because everyone will ask her why she stayed, instead of asking Sean why it is that he pounded his girlfriend. Additionally, if Scarlett has the temerity to hit back, she'll be blamed for "provoking" her attacker. I feel sorry for the girl; she's been taken in by this creep.

I wish her the best, but in my eyes she is now and forever branded "the Devil's Concubine." Filth like Penn never washes off. And behaving like this at a White House event is beyond repulsive. ScarJo now ranks with Angelina and LiLo as a perfect personification of Hollywood's devolution from grace, elegance, and glamour to overpaid trailer trash.
