Mariah Carey Tweets Hint on Names of Newborn Twins

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have officially been parents for three days now, and they're loving every minute of it.

The songbird took to her Twitter page to update more than 4 million of her followers on her new motherhood and thank the well-wishers. "I wish I could personally thank all those around the world who continue 2 send congrats+prayers for #dembabies!" she wrote Monday (May 1). "They're doing great! They are the most incredible gifts we could ever have imagined

Carey also said that she is ready to reveal the names of the twins to her fans before telling friends and family, challenging her followers to guess. She said on Twitter, "So we r bout 2 reveal the actual names and b4 we tell em 2 our friends etc. I had 2 C if any of the #lambily wanted 2 guess!!!"

Although she hasn't yet confirmed a winner of the guessing game, the singer did reveal that both names begin with the letter "M." Carey tweeted the message, "both begin w/M's!!!! : )."

As previously reported, the 41-year-old gave birth to the twins, a boy and girl, Saturday morning (April 30), on their third wedding anniversary.

Carey and Cannon renewed their vows the following day under the guidance of Rev. Al Sharpton.

The couple tied the knot in 2008, to the surprise of both the public and those close to them. They currently split their time between New York and Los Angeles, and revealed that the price tag on the twins' baby nursery was a whopping $100,000.

for the Girl I'm Guessing Margaret or Melissa & for the Boy Martin Or Morgan [after her older brother to whom she's very close} she should release them later today before her & the babies are released from the hospital as is customary if mama and papa already had the names picked out as Mariah & Nick did as did my parents with my little brothers I was supposed to be Melissa lee but my mother didn't want the Nicknames Lissy & Missy and heard Courtney in a maternity store and fell in love with it my middle name is lyn all that matters is everyone is healthy

Since both parents have normal names, I sure do hope she does the same with the twins. Some of the names parents give their children are very strange with 'K or Jay'Dtrey or symbols, hard to pronounce, horrible for their teen and adult years.

I am so bothered that they elected to have Rev. Sharpton do any thing for them. He is a white hater, a real bigot, uneducated, got his diploma from a diploma mill, always is there with his awful friend, JJ who is a big phony. Anytime there is a problem, he blames the whites, no matter what. Remember Mariah is half and half (mother white and lovely; father black, do not know any more about him, think he left when the kids were very young). I realize this is their choice, but it sure seems like they could have found a better choice, especially where they live and the particular faith they follow.

um Reverand sharpton has been a friend of Mariah's for years get over it. she or Nick will tweet the twins Names later today when they leave the hospital. When Mariah was named Mariah in 1970 it wasn't considered popular or normal to name your daughter that her mother Patricia has said that she did that because she liked the song They Called The Wind Mariah from the play paint your wagon and because she thought it would look nice on a marquee. there's always been eccentric names in hollywood for example having the numerical word of your birthdate as your middle name like Olivia Dahl did

People just reported that MC an Nick have released the babys names : Carey and hubby Nick Cannon's son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon and their daughter is named Monroe Cannon
I would have thought she would have named the lil girl MiMiracle"
and the boy who knows but not Moroccan
