'The Situation' Lands New Project Deal With MTV

No matter the fate of 'The Jersey Shore,' Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino isn't going anywhere soon. The buff reality star has inked a new series development deal with MTV.

According to Variety, Sorrentino isn't attached to any specific project right now, but expect a pilot to be filmed at some point this year for the network.

"I'm excited to continue my relationship with MTV, which has been home for me for the last couple of years," Sorrentino said. "I'm really grateful for all the support from my fans. Hopefully, there will be plenty more situations in the future."

This is the third new project to be announced from the 'Jersey Shore' cast. Last month it was announced that MTV ordered two separate spin-off series, one featuring DJ Pauly D and another with Snooki and JWOWW.

But before the new projects hit the air, the 'Jersey Shore' cast jets off to Italy this month to film the fourth season of the hit reality show.

No one watchesd MTV anymore. That moron, instead of working on his body, should look in the mirror and get a nose job..and let his hair grow. Then, he may be decent looking.

It has to be due to teenaged girls, that dont know any better yet. Who else would be interested in seeing this guy?
But I have wondered, who told this punk he looked good while smiling out of the side of his mouth? He looks ridiculous to put it kindly. Mike is his real name, no ne has ever been named the situation. The guy is trying to get his own show for some time, and so is snookie. I dont know what they have done to deserve a show, they together, have no talent, no education.
It seems tv has really gone down hill for a while now.
Lets make sure our teens dont get into this type of tv, it cant be educational, or even healthy for anyone.
I miss the days, when a person had to have some talent, to be in this type of business.

Just when you think MTV couldn't be any worse, they prove you wrong.

Gag me with a spoon. Why do they keep giving these worthless individuals attentions. Hmmmm, interesting reading, Mike arrested for marijuana possession. Why hasn't that hit all the tabloids? Mike, Paulie, Vinnie are so quick to call the girls in the clubs grenades but did they ever look at themselves in the mirror? They are 3 of the homeliest guys I have ever seen. And last but not least, Mike bombs on every appearance that he makes outside the show so why do they still keep giving him attention?
