Actor David Spade recently donated $200,000 to the American Red Cross, specifically to help those affected by the disastrous Southern tornadoes last month, Us Weekly reports."With the devastating disasters the tornadoes and floods are causing I wanted to help the Red Cross in their efforts to provide help as quickly as possible," the star said in a statement. "I also hope this will help to shine the spotlight on the people of the United States who are in desperate need right now and that others will join me in donating what they can to support the American Red Cross' huge disaster relief effort."
Last month's outbreak of over 178 tornadoes left hundreds of people dead across the South and thousands of others lost everything -- including their homes. Spade, who is an American Red Cross National Cabinet member, also donated $50,000 last July to help flood victims in Kentucky and Tennessee.

David is a good man, some people in hollywood could take notes from him. Its great when we help other countries in need, but here for now, this country needs all the help we can get.
Thank you David for helping the people here, that have lost loved ones, and their homes.

Where's George Clooney & his "disaster" telethon to raise money for USA victims like he did for Haiti? Telecast the telethon all over the world & then the US will find out who our "friends" are for sure.
Anyway, thank you Mr Spade for your kind generosity. Hope other stars will follow....

While I applaud his generosity, I think he should have used the money for acting lessons, or at least to buy some talent.

Thank you, David Spade! Where are all of those Hollywood types that jump when disaster strikes in another country, but have done NOTHING for the people in ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI and TENNESSEE!!! Charity begins at home. The same goes for all the money sent to feed the starving children in the world, yet there are starving children right here at home. How about educating the children of other nations, building schools for them, when the schools here are having to close because there's no tax money. Get a grip, America, and fix OUR problems. Then go save the world.

Thanks, Dude.

Bully for him! Why did he have to announce it to the world and toot his own horn? Why didn't he just give it quietly or anonymously w/out all the publicity and fanfare?
