Paul McCartney Is Engaged to Nancy Shevell

Three years after a messy divorce, Paul McCartney is giving marriage another try. The Beatles legend and his longtime girlfriend Nancy Shevell are engaged to be married.
"It's true," the bride-to-be told the Associated Press. "That's all, but thank you, have a good weekend."
McCartney's publicist Stuart Bell confirmed the news as well, but stopped short of providing any further details about the engagement, saying "we're all thrilled for him."
A source spilled the beans to
PEOPLE earlier Friday. "Nancy and Paul are getting married," they said. "Ring and all -- very exciting."
McCartney, 68, and Shevell, a 51-year-old New Yorker, began dating four years ago while the singer was in the midst of his split with second wife, Heather Mills. Tabloids had a field day when they were first spotted together in the Hamptons.
A source at the time told PEOPLE that, "They have the right chemistry. They're both cool, chilled out and optimistic."
Cool and chill was a welcome change for McCartney, who lost his first wife, Linda, to cancer in 1998 at age 56, then remarried four years later to Heather Mills. That marriage, of course, ended very very badly and cost him about $48.6 million in the divorce settlement.

Hey, JohnL: It's McCARTNEY - not McCarthy.
mccarthy any way we live and let die.
JohnL, you couldn't be so wrong about Paul. He and John Lenon wrote many great songs together. Paul wrote some very good music right after he left the Beatles and with his band, Wings. Even John admitted he thought most of Paul's music after the split-up of The Beatles was very good. In short, The Beatles would never have gelled as The Beatles without Paul and John writing music together. JohnL, you are an idiot!
McCarthey?? Deaffing? I think before you go throwing stones at others, maybe you should learn to spell. He may be overrated, but YOU'RE undereducated!
So he made a mistake with no. 2 but he was married to Linda forever and lost her naturally. I guess when you're jealous of someone else who can have a chance at a second life of happiness you open mouth and insert foot. She looks like she will make him very happy and isn't anything like the gold digger who moved in on him when he was vulnerable after losing the love of his life.
Nancy is worth about 300 million herself. No need for Paul to worry this time around.

No woman will ever replace what Paul felt for Linda, but I'm happy he found friendship and love again. May they spend the rest of their days in wedded bliss.

When Linda died, Paul said he'd never marry again. OOOPPPSS. But the real question here is What do his kids think about this lady, cause they hated Heather and were not happy with his marriage to Heather But if they like her She'll be good for him cause your kids know
Lori W. Supposedly they like Nancy because she has her own money
You get to be a certain age, you've had one good and one bad marriage, you've got lots and lots of money to burn, you're a famous "rocker", you've got lawyers available up the kazoo.....so go ahead and get married again. Why not? I hope he gets it right this time. Love his music, always did, hate his politics. Two out of three ain't bad.

Hey JohnL...if you want people to take you seriously, which I doubt anyone does, try spelling the name of the person you're trying to cut down correctly...then maybe you won't look like such a moron...then again you probably still will.

Paul, if you must do it please make sure (a) she doesn't have Borderline Personality Disorder like your last wife and (b) that she signs a pre-nup, for crying out loud! Why bother getting married? You're not going to have kids with her. What do you gain by making it official?
