EXCLUSIVE: Elizabeth Rodriguez just scored her first Tony nomination for her role in 'The Motherf**ker with the Hat,' an intense play about a former drug dealer (played by Bobby Cannavale) forced to deal with his still-using girlfriend (Rodriguez) while trying to get his life back together with the help of his parole counselor (Chris Rock). The hit show scored an impressive six Tony nominations, including Best Play, Best Direction and Best Lead Actor for Cannavale. We were psyched to get the talented actress's take on the cancellation of 'All My Children.' Before making her Broadway debut in 'Hat,' Rodriguez starred on the soap from 2008-09, and seemed pretty bummed that ABC decided to cancel the long-running daytime institution. She was also pretty certain that the persistent rumor that her former 'All My Children' co-star Susan Lucci would be swinging by Wisteria Lane for a role on 'Desperate Housewives' was true.
"She's going to 'Desperate Housewives' apparently. She has a contract at ABC," Rodriguez said of Lucci. "You heard it here first. That's what I heard!"

NO WAY !!!! i have been a faithful fan of amc and DH, and if the put susan on DH i will fast forward just like i do watching amc. susan needs to go away, we don't need any whiners on DH. Pleeeeease ABC let her go.

susan would be perfect for desperate housewives. My the
way Abc is making a big mistake by cancelling its daytime
soap operas. I know a lot of fams that are angry.

I think La Lucci will be fabulous in anything she does after AMC. I'm sad to see the soap go off the air. I think she will shake up Wysteria Lane in a great way!

you put susan lucci on desperate housewives, then you have lost me and a lot of people out there. lucci is a terrible actress i don't care if she plays a grandmother, a man, whatever she is bad. and the broad that is talking about how sad it is for the show to go off the air, are you in this world. homemakers have to work they are not sitting home watching soap operas. lucci, i don't care about, she has made a fortune. she can make it. i feel bad for the younger ones. we all have obama to thank for the state this country is in.

She won't be there long probably. Desperate Housewives has, maybe, one more season before cancellation.

This would be perfect for Susan. She can be the queen of DHW.

If anyone from All My Children goes to Desperate Housewives, it should be Jamie Luner. She is more their style and a helluva an actress. Gorgeous to boot.

susan lucci has acted for many years, i believe as long as she is capable to act, she should...I wish her the best.

I don't know which is funnier - ABC going to a daytime schedule of nonstop talk shows - with Good Morning American, Rachael Ray, Live With Regis & Kelley, The View, The Chew, Revolution, another talk show to replace Oprah starring Katie Couric since they are considering cancelling GH = 10 hours worth of talk show food-eating boring chatter OR putting Susan Lucci on DH instead of giving her a real talk show, since she was so good at playing a talk show host on the AMC. SERIOUSLY ABC IS GOING TO HAVE 10 HOURS OF TALK SHOWS ONCE THEY GET RID OF THE SOAPS!!!! Borrrrinnnng!

TO ABC: Please do not mess up the program Desperate Housewives with Susan Lucci. She has been on TV since she was 14 years old. Don't you think that is ENOUGH, we certainly do. Not only one show over 40 years, and we still will see her constantly due to all her businesses. PLEASE ABC, drop her from your programs.
PLEASE, DO right away before the show AMC ends in September. GIved us a BREAK!

Well, I would like Susan Lucci to stay on AMC and for Oprah to put it on her "OWN" network when ABC retires the show. I have watched AMC since the very first day 40 years ago and would love for another network to pick it up.
