David Beckham in Los Angeles Freeway Accident

Exactly one week after his stylish black-tie appearance (along with wife Victoria) at Prince William's wedding in London, soccer superstar David Beckham was involved in a collision on the freeway in Southern California, People.com reports.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was minor, and occurred near Torrance, Calif., on Friday.

"Mr. Beckham's black Cadillac SUV collided with the rear of a gold Mitsubishi in the carpool lane," confirms a California Highway Patrol spokesperson, Jennifer Connolly.

The Mitsubishi's driver experienced minor neck pain, and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Beckham, 36, was uninjured.

The gold car struck by Beckham's vehicle had reportedly broken down in the carpool lane of the busy 405 freeway when the collision occurred.

Beckham's son Brooklyn, 12, was in his dad's Cadillac at the time, according to TMZ sources, but was unhurt.

Driver and son. Does that qualify to be in the carpool lane?
Should he get a ticket for that???

I believe the vehicle has to have a minimum of two visible occupants to be in the carpool lane. His son would qualify as an occupant.

@BBB: Um, do you even watch soccer? Like real futbol. Cause if you did you would know that Beckham has done A WHOLE FREAKING LOT for soccer not just get paid a whole bunch. Don't get your panties in a bunch. And he tore his tendon....as in he felt it spiral up his leg. In case you haven't heard it isn't suppose to do that. Sheesh. Glad Beckham and kid are okay hope other person is too.

hopefully this person and his attorney is not going to go after the money ... this is one of the reasons why so many jobs have left California and have gone overseas, people sue anyone that has money and they don't think in the consequences that everybody pays, the man (Beckham) is spending money on our economy!!!!!!!

Sounds like Beckham was tailgating. Either because he's a bad driver or he was busy using his cell and not paying attention. Which also makes him a bad driver. He's a danger to everyone around him.
