With the Harpo team in Chicago hurtling toward the The Oprah Winfrey Show finale on May 25, the talk-show queen is in a talkative mood.As Winfrey launches one behemoth (the OWN network) while ending another (the 25th and final season of her daytime show), she essentially confessed to what fans already adore her for: She's only human.
"I feel like I have not begun to give anything to OWN," she told EW.com in a revealing interview. "Its going to improve exponentially with the amount of time and service I can give." She added candidly, "It's not where I want it to be."
When discussing OWN's reality show 'Oprah Behind the Scenes,' she brought up the Jennifer Hudson episode. The slimmed-down singer had attended an Oprah Show soundcheck during a week of severe snowfall, then quietly flew to Texas for a gig; her delay returning to Chicago the next morning for her final Oprah appearance upset both staff and host, and made for intense 'BTS' footage.
"That was a lot of high drama because we've never been stood up before," Winfrey said, hinting that tactful editing went into what otherwise might have been a bleep-filled episode. "Everybody was mad. I wanted to make sure that there was not one single thing in that episode that had anything to do with us being mad or upset in that moment. It was dramatic. Nobody has ever not shown up, ever. Especially if they were here the night before."

Bad behavior is bad behavior: from Hudson and Winfrey. Do unto others is still the best rule.

For someone as HUGE as OW to go public with this and try to make JH look bad just SUCKS BIGTIME! Is her production staff SO unable to handle emergencies that they depend on ONE performer for a smoothe operation...this is vindictive bull! And Winfrey could have avoided this going public!!!!

Just like Oprah, Jennifer Hudson has a job to do to. Her flight was delayed...big deal. Not everybody has "Oprah" money and they need to work to put food in their kid's mouths. I'm glad Oprah's show is ending...it's a celebrity snoozefest.

Oprah says, "she had never been stood-up by any guest in her 25 years of television". Be thankful, be very thankful for that !!! I'd say, that was a miracle in itself ! Maybe an ah ha moment ???

I lost respect for Opray over the past 3 or 4 years and that is saying a lot because I use to love her show. Her actions do not live up to the image she trys to portray. She's a phony in every sense of the word and all about "show". She acts as though her opinion is above all others. Money or no money, it will all catch up with her one day. Hope she is prepared for that. Oh one other thing, she is a very prejudice woman but it is her problem, not mind!

I believe Jessie James and Sandra Bullock were simply ill-matched. All nice girls have loved bad boys and vice-versa but those with a good sense of self know not to marry into the world of the other. It seldom works. I think we are putting too much thought into something that happens every day. Let poor James move back to the tatooed woman in his culture and let Sandra move back into her culture. Trailer and up-town; ghetto and high-rise don't mix well.

Jhud is one of the nicest artist in the business. This was all done by a mistake. At least she showed up. Her an Oprah talked and that was that. The lovely super star learned her lesson from this one. The show she did on Oprah was one of the top shows for Oprah this year. They are still good bodies. Jen respect Oprah to the up most.

""Jesus, I need a little vanity..." yeah, right, Oprah needing vanity?

Wow, I did not realize that there are so many Oprah haters out there. Oprah is so inspirational and she has helped so many people. However she cannot help everybody in the world who is in need. As regards Jennifer Hudson, this should be something she can learn from.

So Oprah gets mad, so what. What I really am upset about, having James Frey on one of her last episodes, he lied, deceived and made up just about everything in his book, what a slap in the face to all recovering addicts that have real, true stories about the hell of addiction and millions of miraclous recovery stories. I have been sober (35) years, written a book all about my addictions and recovery, wrote many times to no avail. Sad scenerio for one of her last shows.

Personally I am glad to see her show go off the air and I will not be tuning in to see her network. She is just too full of herself for me. I truly believe she thinks she is a prophet or something...just time to retire. Go away!

I can't wait til she is off the air!! It just shows how much she is a Diva. The new network won't last very long either, as much as I love Shania, I will not watch her on the network.
