Rihanna will kick off the 'Today' show's star-studded lineup for its 2011 Summer Concert Series, launching on May 27.NBC decided to overlook the recent 'Good Morning America' tantrum thrown by Rihanna's controversial ex, Chris Brown, enlisting him for his own live performance airing July 15. (Brown's publicist famously quit after his ABC appearance triggered a window-smashing rant backstage.)
Cee Lo Green and 'The Lazy Song' singer Bruno Mars will also hit the stage to perform in the coming weeks.
Everyone's favorite boy-turned-man bands, New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys, will break from their joint NKOTBSB tour to take it back to the '90s. And heading into Labor Day weekend, rocker Lenny Kravitz will close out the summer series on September 2.

ABC may be plotting to get Rihanna and Chris Brown together sooner or later.
If I was Chris Brown, yeah, I would want to avoid the past and people who remind me of so much pain.
I do not blame him for wanting to move forward. That news anchor Robyn Roberts or whatever the hell her name is kept bringing up the negativity and this was why he did what he did.

I guess being a mother of girls I look at this differently. Both of them used each other for PR. Chris should have never put his hands on a woman although "everyone" said their union was for their careers in the first place. He paid with his probation but as a mother I refuse to let Rhianna get away with using the abuse and sex to gain sympathy to further her career as well. You people know if Rhianna wasn't gorgeous and was some black girl in the ghetto getting beat the media (nor Jay Z/Kanye) wouldn't give a sh@@@@! Lets stop being phony. This is as pathetic as it can get.
Its all for attention, thats the only reason these two were put together. Now because of the two being put on the same date, and stage, some people will actually watch, out of pure ignorance.
As if Chris would beat up Rhianna on stage.,,
