Exclusive: Beyonce to Receive Billboard Millennium Award

Although Beyonce Knowles may already don the title of Queen B, Billboard is making it official, awarding the superstar with 2011's Billboard Millennium Award.

Knowles, who has been topping Billboard's charts since 2003, will be honored May 22 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, hosted by funny man, Ken Jeong. Her influence on the industry as a Sasha Fierce performer, actress and producer has cast her as a true living legend -- only magnified by her union with equally influential music master, Jay Z.

The 'Single Ladies' singer will also be accompanied by her peers, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, The Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Taio Cruz who will all perform at the show.

Born and bred as a founding force behind Destiny's Child, she had us all saying her name before she went solo. From there, Knowles has gone on to win 16 Grammy Awards and shattered Billboard records with hits like, 'Beautiful Liar.'

It's no doubt that Knowles knows how to 'Run The World (Girls)' and her fourth studio album, set for release later this year, will continue to lead her from Destiny to reality.

This is publicity stunt is a bunch of bull!!! How infulencial can she be if she is always mocking other successful artists? Her newest single is horrible and it is tanking on the charts. She good but she is not great. Rhianna has more Billboard number one than Beyonce and she's more interesting, where's her award? Her "influence" on the industry is the result of a huge marketing budget.

More #1's doesn't make you more talented. She can't touch Beyonce who she obviously copies, Mariah or Whitney. That's just pop gum being voted into #1 spots but won't be legendary. Beyonce is the blueprint for this game.

Numbers don't lie , kiddies. 16 grammys and top-earning solo artist of 2010. Unless your favourite can do the same, you can't tell Queen Bey nothing.

Beyonce is much like Britney in that they are pop stars, contrived talent worthy of a Las Vegas act, but not to be considered in the category of "artist". That is reserved for people of talent who possess a voice practically unparalleled, dancers of high caliber (not just going through the motions or having a seizure on stage), and musicians who can actually play an instrument. These two are none of those categories. They are in fact infamous more than famous. Beyonce is a woman with drive obviously, that is why she stole the spotlight in her trio, married herself an industry heavyweight (inheriting the queen crown with the union...not earning it). She is over hyped, with an overinflated ego. Jennifer Hudson puts her to shame in both singing and acting (I think that is what it is called when she attempts it), as well as a dozen other female voices. She could not hold a candle to Christina, Mariah, Whitney or K.D. Lang for voice. She is ghetto royalty.

She already was honored at the World Music Awards as a solo artist and their DC3 tribute. Try again.

Perhaps she borrowed some of JLO'S bleaching cream. Since JLO bleached her skin, wears blond weaves and narrowed her nose to look thinner but it still didn't help. Ben still dumped her and Hollywood calls her Box Office poison.
