It was a long night of 'Celebrity Apprentice.' It looks like they basically smashed two episodes together into three hours, complete with two challenges for the teams and two Boardroom eliminations.
Before they even got into any of it, though, Trump mixed up the teams to separate NeNe Leakes and Star Jones. Team Backbone, which had just picked up LaToya Jackson last week, got Leakes while Team ASAP picked up Meat Loaf.
SPOILER ALERT!
Unfortunately, the new team make-up on ASAP did little to stop the constant bickering. Only now, instead of Leakes and Jones going at each other, it was Meat Loaf and Star Jones.
By the time we got through the first Boardroom, two people were gone. Leakes never even showed up to help her team on their first task, and LaToya Jackson was fired -- again! -- as Team Manager for the losing Backbone.
But they turned it around at the end of the night and pulled off a victory. This time, however, Donald Trump focused on branding. In the task, Jones was responsible for it, and the client "thought the branding absolutely missed the mark," according to Trump.
"You were in charge of branding," he said to Jones. "Star, you're fired." In one night, the show lost a woman for every hour the show was on. Marlee Matlin can thank God it was only three hours, as she's now the last woman standing.
Before that, though, a lot of attention was paid to Meat Loaf using terms of endearment like "sweetie" and "honey" when talking to Jones. She found it demeaning and derogatory, but Meat Loaf insisted he meant nothing by it, and Trump agreed with him.
"If you're gonna come to me and you're going to suggest that I can't argue with you as your equal, and then you try to diminish me as a woman by calling me honey or sweetie or baby, I'm gonna call you on it," Jones retorted. Certainly, one can't discredit the way she feels in this particular instance.
Trump seemed to see it as further indication that Jones is simply difficult to get along with. "You couldn't get along with NeNe," he said. "We have Meat Loaf, who I think everyone gets along with and you can't get along with him. What's wrong with you?"
Do you think Trump was fair on Jones in this assessment, or was he missing the point?
This man wants to be president??? IF a woman or even a man is not into being called, sweetie, honey, sugar, baby THEN dont' call her YOUR nicknames for allll women!!! It's just like Star said it is demeaning, and insulting!! I'm sure Trump would love it if some of his employees started calling him sweetie?? How 'bout that one honey? It is an affectionate name and affection has no business in the workplace!! It is disrespectful!!!
Trump is a loud mouthed idiot with a huge ego! How does this moron "fire" NeNe AFTER she quit? Ego maniac? And Marlee isn't the only woman left on the show, Meatloaf is still there! I'm sorry I don't mean to insult women, meatloaf is more of a simpering wimp. Totally lost all respect for that wuss!
Last week, I heard that an "unnamed" Apprentice star voiced to media that they were thoroughly pissed and disgusted at Trump over his recent political antics, and couldn't wait to be fired, that they wouldn't even have gone on with the show if not for their charity. It could be practically anyone, but my money would be on Star Jones, and I'm betting Trump thought so, too. He probably would have fired her for pretty much any reason. JMO
Give me a break! Donald was right.....Star Jones couldn't get along with anyone. If you disagreed with her she branded you a traitor.
I LOVE this show...its the best reality show on TV. Star Jones certainly brought in the viewers but she was also the nastiest contestant that was ever on the show......i can't stand her!
The only word Meatloaf used was sweetie and it certainly was not meant in a derogatory sense. Let's face it Star is nothing but a "Racist Biacth"!!!! GOOD TO SEE HER GO!!! Grow up Kay....

I think Star Jones should have been fired a long time ago. She is a poor excuse for a human being. I think she tried to cut any and everyone's throat she could to get ahead, and that's not the way it is done. A lot of good people were fired because of her plus what I seen out of her she's not smart all she could do was run her mouth telling other people what to do and she didn't do anything but set at a keyboard and pretend she was doing something I'm so glad she is gone.

Star Jones took offense at being called sweetie and Meatloaf should have called her on the carpet when she stated that he didn't have the credentials to argue with her. A college education and law degree doesn't protect you from looking the fool and she played that part well.

Marley should have been fired. Star played the game the way the game is to be played. She used intelligent stratagy. Her game and style is no different from what they do on other reality shows such as "The Amazing Race, Survivor and Big Brother. Star Jone is a star and I enjoyed watching her!
