Denise Richards Offers Advice to Other Single Moms

Denise Richards spent Mother's Day with her two beautiful daughters, Sam and Lola, far far away from all the Charlie Sheen-sized drama and chaos that has infected her family life recently. Her remedy for keeping things in perspective?

"The best gift a parent can give children is time," Denise told me yesterday. "Spend time with your kids."

And although Denise was talking to fellow single mothers raising their children without much help, one can't help but hope that her ex husband is stopping to listen.

If you've ever spent a second with Denise you know puts her girls before everything ... especially her career. No matter how crazy things get between her and Charlie, her number one priority has always been those girl. But even Denise is finally taking everyone's advice and trying to find a little time for herself."

"I want my kids to be healthy and happy," Denise tells me. "I feel so blessed that I have healthy kids. Single moms need to know its okay to have a little 'me' time. You'll feel refreshed and you'll be a better mom!"

And no one deserves it more than you, Denise!

Hey, get in the game here. She's a celebrity. When she breaks wind, someone will try to bottle it and sell it. I've never personally understood the American celebrity cult, but it exists. Otherwise no one whould know what the heck a Kardashian was.

She is not concerned about "winning" like Charlie Sheen does. She wants the best for her daughters. Eventually, I know that they are going to pay her back when they are older.

Her able to give advice: Find an actor who gets paid well but is messed up on drugs and alcohol. End the marriage and collect child support. Oh yeah it helps if you can act and model too.

You don't need a celebrity to tell you that time works with children especially if your a good parent(lets admit not everyone is and therefore distance is just as much as a gift). I give Denise credit in keeping her mouth shut about Charlie. I think that that qualifies for a gift to your children. Keeping your mouth shut and not insulting your ex in front of your children priceless. Less baggage for them to carry on the road to adulthood.

Single parenting with money as a celebrity is a different animal than single parenting and living paycheck to paycheck. Her advice just doesn't mean much to most of us.

Yep, really jealous. Oh how I wish I had a broken home, unhappy kids, a failed film career, a failed reality series, a psychotic drug addicted ex and memories of him being inside me.
