Tension Rising Between 'Bonus Mom' LeAnn and Eddie's Ex?

LeAnn Rimes insists she and Eddie Cibrian's ex, Brandi Glanville, have made peace, but that didn't stop the country songbird from stirring things up over the weekend by trying to nudge her "bonus mom" self into the spotlight for Mother's Day.

"Happy Mother's day weekend to all the Mom's out there," she tweeted on Friday. "The 'Bonus Moms', Godmother's, Grandmothers and anyone who is a woman who helps love and raise children."

The singer laid out the criteria for who should get honored while in Canada on an acting job. While she was honing her skills, Eddie and Brandi's two sons were spending Sunday with their mom. A friend of Brandi's tells me she thinks LeAnn was "trying to make the day about herself."

Tension between the normally friendly LeAnn-Eddie-Brandi hit a peak last week when it was reported that Brandi has been busy taping episodes of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.' Sources told E! News that Eddie was vowing legal action if Brandi goes forward with plans to include 7-year-old Mason and 4-year-old Jake, in the Bravo show.

"He has been sending her threatening emails about having their children appear on television," the insider told E!. "If anyone uses the children for press it's Eddie. He just put out a big picture of himself, LeAnn, and the kids from their wedding."

My source, a Brandi confidante, agrees. It was fine for the wedding photos, but not okay for them to show up casually -- in the background -- on 'Housewives'?

"What are they so frightened about?" Brandi's friend tells me. "Are they scared that the camera's will show what a great relationship the kids have with their mom? If you ask me, LeAnn and Eddie are both jealous. They wished Brandi would just go away and let them all pretend to be a new perfect family. Well they need to think again!"

There was no comment from Eddie's or LeAnn's reps.

LeAnn may or may not be a good singer, I never heard her sing. But she could use some spelling/grammar lessons.

Leann is not a very nice person. I suppose she thinks she can buy those kids. They are not her's and she is not a MOM. Bonus Mom? What is that?

I never could stand her singing, and now her even less as a person. She just seems immature, and is all about what she wants. The best thing she can do is get rid of twitter. I don't know her, but she just seems like a snake. She needs to be a stepmother to the boys, and not try to be their mother. All decisions regarding them should be made between Eddie and Brandi, and not involve her. As long as they have a loving mother, she needs to butt out.

The fact that she can sing doesn't make her any less of a self-absorbed, vacuous, C%#!.

LeAnn is a great singer, unfortunately that will forever be overshadowed by the fact that she cheated on her spouse with a married man.
Honestly that's all I think of when I see her, and I'm actually a fan.

I agree. All I think of is that gross relationship with Eddie Cibrian. Oh...also that photo of LeeAnn with her finger boring into her nose nearly two knuckles deep is burned into my mind as well.

LeAnn is all about LeAnn. These are not her children, have some of her own and leave this poor woman alone. LeAnn has already taken her husband, now she wants to be their Mom. She always professed family values, but she had no trouble sneaking around with someone else's husband. I am TIRED of LeAnn and Eddie. He is as bad as she is.

Irish: I'm of Irish decent & hooked on ancestry! You said all that I've been thinking for yrs. Used to like LeAnn (when she was 14? yrs old, but no more). She & Eddie both! They're equal with Brad & Jolie in my eyes now. Can't stand any of them nor the unmentioned "Hollywoodites" in the same category. Therefore don't watch movies nor listen to their music anymore. TV is getting more ROTTEN by the day too! This is a rare article on pc that I read or respond to also. So my ancestry searching is a much more interesting pastime.

Oh but those ARE her kids by extension. Any real mother that denies that or is jealous of that has a serious problem out of jealousy. I am a step mother and no one, and I mean NO ONE, will ever dare to tell me that my 4 daughters are not MINE! Even after being divorced from their father for 17 years those ARE my kids and their kids ARE my grandkids. Period

This whole thing is so stupid, crap happens in marriages, Ms Rimes has been made out to be a home-wrecker when there were three people involved here, the husband and the ex wife. If people aren't happy in their marriages then they sometimes move on and find happiness with someone else. While it's true that it should have been done the right way, get a divorce first and then start dating someone else, the fact is that it happened the way that it did. The ex wife started her name calling and making this public with her OH BOOHOO POOR LITTLE ME!

And there is a huge difference between merely posting a FAMILY photo of the wedding then being on TV each week. I wonder how many times on the show they will show the ex wife as a victim and trash Leeann and the ex husband? My bet would be PLENTY!

I'm not crazy about the "Housewives" franchise, but this woman is making a living to support herself and her kids in addition to any support their father might be paying. Seems to me that Brandi DID go away. She's making her own life and it seems to be good. Let her do it even if the occasional glimpse of the kids might be a factor. Seems like control to me. Men are never just satisfied to be able to leave. They still want to control.

It seems to me the media is the one with the control, not Eddie. I'm betting that he doesn't want his wife, his ex-wife, or his children dragged through all this crap all the time.

Sounds like LeAnn is trying to horn in on the mom thing.. Which she has no right too.. Those are Brandi's and Eddie's two boys. Being a step mom means just that... especially on Mother's Day, she needs to take a back seat.. Enjoy the boys when they are with her and Eddie, don't try to be their birth mom.. it's just not going to happen.. try and keep the peace LeAnn and know your boundaries.

geez people leave her alone..she made a mistake in how she handled everything..have you never made a mistake? I have been in this situation..and whether its right or wrong in your eyes...it happens all the time..why give her all the grief over something that happens in everyday life all the time? her mistakes are hers to make and hers to pay for...
