Why No Pre-Nup for Paul McCartney and Wife No. 3?

All you need is love. And two rich people who don't need each other's money. Paul McCartney and his girlfriend of over four years, Nancy Shevell, are engaged to be married and once again Paul is considering not having a pre-nuptial agreement.

"His friends and business advisers think he's crazy after what happened with his ex, but Paul is insisting Nancy is no Heather," a family insider tells me. "There's no need to make marriage a business arrangement."

According to the Daily Mail, Paul's legal team has drawn up a single-page agreement that says if the marriage doesn't work out, then she won't go after the trust funds for his kids. That's it.

Nancy is already a very successful businesswoman in New York and her dad, Mike Shevell, is a trucking magnate who has amassed a humongous fortune. Needless to say, she doesn't need Paul to make her wealthy. Plus the two have been taking things slowly and not rushing into saying 'I Do.'

The Beatles legend and Nancy started dating when they met in the posh Hamptons during the summer of 2007, and have been inseparable -- although very private -- ever since.

"They are the perfect couple. And have both had a huge impact on each other," my source tells me. "She has once again shown him that falling in love doesn't have to hurt."

Paul's marriage to Linda McCartney ended tragically after she lost a battle with cancer and his second marriage to Heather Mills ended in a very ugly and costly divorce.

"This one will last forever," an insider tells me. "She is the opposite of Heather and hates the public spotlight, plus she doesn't need his money to live a great life."

Why don't you marry someone your own age???? These older men who have to have a young woman with a beautiful body to marry makes me sick. They have to thave their "tropy wife" to show how "big"
they are.

Why bother w/ a pre-nup, Nancy Shevell has loads of money of her own. I'll bet that's Pauls own hair not a piece, he's too "cool" to wear fake hair.

I hope they are BOTH happy. I hate Paul's politics - very leftist - but I do hope he's got this one right with this gal. But golly, the prudent thing to do is get a pre-nup anyway. I don't care HOW much he loves her. He has to protect his children's inheritance & interests after he dies, etc. In his situation, not having a pre-nup is either total trust or total stupidity.

If I had half the money Paul has, I would never marry.
I guess hes from the old school, and feels the need to have a woman with him. These days its not needed, most people are busy working, to worry about who will be at home when they get there.

It is so ludicrous that our journalists keep saying this about McCartney's lack of pre-nups... THERE ARE NO PRE-NUPS, legal or otherwise, IN THE UK, and never have been, k? Nancy is not one he needs to worry about -- she's worth nearly as much as he is and, I'm sure, has had to worry about men being interested in her for her money, vs. herself, every bit as much as Paul has... Nancy has very willingly signed an agreement to stay away from trusts that have been set up for Paul's children and, I guarantee you, nearly all of his fortune is tied up within their McCartney family trusts that exclude Nancy... Back when McCartney married Mills and he DID need to worry about this, pre-nups in the UK were and still are NOT an option within the UK legal arena so, PUHLEASE, can our US journalists stop harping on this??? Sheesh!

Today people want more no matter how much they already have. He became Bitter when Micheal Jackson out Bidded him for the Beatles Song Book. And allowed his Bitterness to cloud his judgement in future decisions. Plus he needs to throw that stupid looking Mop away, looks loke he picked it up from the TRASH CAN AND THREW IT ON HIS HEAD?
