Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr Dropped from 'Gossip Girl'

There's been some casting shakeups on the Upper East Side. 'Gossip Girl' regulars Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr have been let go from the CW show.

According to TV Guide, the actresses will not be returning as series regulars when the show returns for its fifth season in the fall.

Momsen, who plays good girl-turned-bad Jenny Humphrey, hardly caught any screen time this season as is, appearing in only 4 episodes. Meanwhile, Szohr's Vanessa has often found herself as the black sheep of the Upper East Side clique, and after trying to oust Serena (Blake Lively) from her privileged throne last year, many fans won't be sad to see her go.

Though Momsen and Szohr won't be 'Gossip Girl' regulars next season, they have both been invited to guest-star in future episodes.

Szohr will take her new time off to focus on the slew of film projects she has lined up, while it's likely that Momsen will take her reprieve from 'Gossip Girl' to work full time with her band, Pretty Reckless.
