Lindsay Lohan Tested Positive for Alcohol After Leaving Rehab

After Lindsay Lohan dodged trial Wednesday by pleading no contest in her ongoing jewelry theft case, it was revealed the actress failed an alcohol test in February--just one month after she was released from the Betty Ford treatment center, PEOPLE reports.

Lohan's probation report, which was released after her no contest plea on Wednesday, also stated that the 24-year-old 'Mean Girls' drank alcohol the night she snuck out of Betty Ford and got into a fight with a rehab employee. Interviews with local police and restaurant and club employees confirmed the suspicion.

"The probation officer believes that substance abuse is the root of the defendant's problems," the report said but Judge Stephanie Sautner disagreed and ordered Lohan to psychological counseling instead of more rehab. The actress will no longer be randomly tested for drug and alcohol use.

This does not impact the 120-day jail sentence that Sautner laid down on April 22 when she determined Lohan did violate her 2007 probation from a DUI arrest. She will likely serve a fraction of the sentence due to jail overcrowding and may even be placed on house arrest.

The 'Mean Girls' star is looking to get back to work on her comeback and was recently cast to play the wife of John Gotti Jr. in 'Gotti: Three Generations,' a biopic of the crime family. The film is scheduled to begin production later this year in New York.

If this was one of us regular people we would have had the book thrown at us. She will only get 14 day out of 120 because of overcrowding. Give me a break.

For Claud Pipkin; Lindsay DID get to an AA meeting, there was a two-drink minimum! She failed a test because it turned out she had blood in her alcohol system.

Is any one surprised by this? She needs jail not house arrest. I'll bet that is not the first time she drank after rehab. What was the point of rehab? Loser

What she needs is an extended stay in rehab! Jail isn't going to solve her addiction issues. In fact, from what I understand, she can get drugs in jail plus 'homemade alcohol! What good does that do her? Most of her bad behavior is due to her addictions...
cure them and there's a strong chance she will be able to get her life in order.

this cycle will never end until one of two things happens 1) a judge with some brains really throws the book at her and holds her accountable or 2) she ends up like Dana Plato or Anna Nicole Smith. I hope an innocent person does not get hurt by the imminent train wreck.

In Hollywood a high priced Beverly Hills Atty is a lifeline to the Dodgeball court of Justice! Hell...Lindsay is the poster child for that action! In Hollywood.....its a world of its own to include the Justice System and Judges......where the biggest stars get the best justice of all.....Rehab....with very few conditions! We should all be Thespians Huh?

This behavior will continue until she does something so bad that there will be no way that she can be coddled anymore. It went that way with me until the crap DID hit the fan and I had a long time for regrets behind bars. I now have 23 yrs dry and it's all because the last judge showed no mercy and threw the book at me. That's what she needs too, not a cookie and a pat on the head with "be a good girl now" and another cookie.

The money wasted on this human waste of oxygen could have paid the way for countless people to go to rehab who really wanted it and who would have benefitted from it.

added thought.....if she gets lady gaga's egg, then we can add charlie sheen to her egg to be one of lindsey's godesses and we can call it rebirth egg, since rehab is not desired by this "judge"
