Lindsay Lohan Tested Positive for Alcohol After Leaving Rehab

After Lindsay Lohan dodged trial Wednesday by pleading no contest in her ongoing jewelry theft case, it was revealed the actress failed an alcohol test in February--just one month after she was released from the Betty Ford treatment center, PEOPLE reports.

Lohan's probation report, which was released after her no contest plea on Wednesday, also stated that the 24-year-old 'Mean Girls' drank alcohol the night she snuck out of Betty Ford and got into a fight with a rehab employee. Interviews with local police and restaurant and club employees confirmed the suspicion.

"The probation officer believes that substance abuse is the root of the defendant's problems," the report said but Judge Stephanie Sautner disagreed and ordered Lohan to psychological counseling instead of more rehab. The actress will no longer be randomly tested for drug and alcohol use.

This does not impact the 120-day jail sentence that Sautner laid down on April 22 when she determined Lohan did violate her 2007 probation from a DUI arrest. She will likely serve a fraction of the sentence due to jail overcrowding and may even be placed on house arrest.

The 'Mean Girls' star is looking to get back to work on her comeback and was recently cast to play the wife of John Gotti Jr. in 'Gotti: Three Generations,' a biopic of the crime family. The film is scheduled to begin production later this year in New York.

She is very fortunate and should spend time in jail, this is like her 9th chance at fixing her career, lets see what she does

Honestly who cares about Lindsay Lohan? She is more famous for her criminal mischief than her acting career. She could have made her life anything she wanted and she has messed up time and time again. Her headlines are never surprising...it's just like, "what this time?"

Lindsey Lohan has too many enablers in her life. She needs to hit her total bottom before she takes it seriously or maybe not. Remember you have two choices when you have an addiction YOU EITHER WANT TO LIVE OR YOU CAN DIE. There is no in between with an addiction. My first husband did this and eventually his liver gave out and he bled to death. Wake of Lindsey and the judges "Quit being enablers."

Why can`t so many of you even spell her name right? It`s Lindsay, NOT Lyndsey or Lindsey. Also, I`m sure all of you bashing her were perfect, role model citizens when you were young and rambunctious?--I think not. Lighten up, the streets would not be any safer with her in jail. save the room for the violent & dangerous criminals.

Ok-isn't consuming alcohol violation of her probation??She was wearing one of those ankle bracelets thay monitored if she drank alcohol. Is this girl dumber than dammit or what? She keeps sticking her middle finger up at the courts and the laws-I wish they would get a judge with some balls and put her in jail and be done with it!!

When are the enablers going to wake up and quit coddling Lindsey Lohan. I have no idea why she keeps playing games with herself and other people. Many people have done this and have eventually lost their life from their addictions. The judges need to slap her with a severe consequence for her actions and maybe it might save her life. If they don't want to do jail time then they need to do mandatory counseling in a hospital with tight security around her. My first husband played this game and he died 11 years ago from liver disease at 58 years old. He was a good person but he just couldn't quit. Wake up before this happens to you.

Lindsey Lohan is such a pathetic soul. Just look at her. She's 24 and looks 44. Imagine what she will look like in another 10 years, if she's still alive. It's really sad. Just goes to show you that money can't buy happiness and contentment. This poor thing needs some serious help before it's too late.
