Sarah Ferguson: Royal Wedding Snub Was 'So Difficult'

Sarah Ferguson was purposely left off the Royal Wedding guest list last month and she admitted to Oprah Winfrey that the snub left her feeling pretty lousy.

According to E! Online, the infamous Duchess of York, who was once married to Prince Andrew, told Winfrey that being left out of the big day was "so difficult," adding, "I wanted to be there with my girls...to be getting them dressed and to go as a family."

Her daughters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, attended the wedding with their father, and caused quite a stir with their interesting wardrobe choices for the big event.

Ferguson understands why she was not welcome at the royal event, but said it still stung to be an outsider.

"I went through the phase of feeling so totally worthless and that [it] was quite right they didn't invite me. Why would they, why would they invite me?" she asked. Ferguson also noted that it was hard because "the last bride up that aisle was me," she said, referring to her 1986 wedding to Prince Andrew.

So while the royal family celebrated at the wedding and receptions, Ferguson decided to go on vacation to get out of London. "I chose to go and be in Thailand in a place called Camelia...the jungle embraced me," she told Winfrey.

The Duchess also touched on the subject of Will and Harry's mother, Princess Diana, who was certainly missed on that special day.

"I think Diana would be proud of her son," she said. "Both of them, you know? They did a great job."

Winfrey's interview with Ferguson, whose new show 'Finding Sarah' premieres on the OWN network next month, airs Wednesday.

This cow cheated on her husband, went to a convicted child molester to help her pay her bills and THEN tried to "sell access" to the press so they could get to her ex husband! To top it all off, she had her two hideous children try to steal some of the thunder by wearing ridiculous hats to the royal wedding! The Queen put the hit out on the WRONG "princess!" FERGIE is a low life!

Well Mike - I could not have said it better! She showed the world she is a tramp years ago and although it is sad for her former husband and kids - it is justice that she is suffering for her extremely poor choices. She learned nothing from her mistakes and she is nothing to that family now. So - Don't go away mad Sarah, just go away. We don't care anymore if you were hurt by them not wanting you there. You are trying to steal some publicity yet again by using your former in laws. Terrible!

I remembered a lot of things about Diana and Fergy having lots of happy romps in various places for a LONG time. They were like a coupld college girls on spring break. Now, is it possible that Fergy was banging everything in sight while Diana said prayers and remain chaste? Sure anything is possible. Heck even her wikipedia page says that she and Charlie were both having affairs at about the same time.

Diana did a lot of good things in this world and she was princess of the world for some time. Fergy has also done a lot of good things for people but because she is a woman of today, she has been trashed. I don't understand the grudge that is held against her but that's okay too.

I just wonder if old Andy was as sweet of a guy as his brother. I'd say it was possible but he wasn't heir to the throne.

Exactly! High Five! Charles needed a virgin to have a baby for the kingdom. His married GF couldn't or wouldnt produce one. OR was she already married? Whatever. Di was innocent. She deserved to wear white. and produced an heir and the spare like she was supposed to do. HER big crime was believing the dream and being in love with her prince. There were 3 in her marriage. After the babies were born, he didnt have to treat Di right. That pushed her into her mess. The money took over Fergie and pushed her into her mess. But let's be real. IT is acceptable for royals (the Men) to cheat.

I feel sorry for her stupidity,, but I felt more sorry for Diana. She had no one to go to for any advice or answers. Camilla is a Rotweiller and seeing her at the wedding made my blood boil.

She is not now and has not been a part of their family for years. They had no reason to invite her. She is not his aunt. She was married to his uncle for short time. The girls are adults now and could attend without her which is exactly the way it shoud be. Her history tells it all.

My aunt and uncle divorced. My aunt isn't my blood relation but she is still my aunt! Her son is my cousin. She wouldn't have been excluded from my wedding.

Why hasn't Andrew spoke up, well...since she was caught on camera trying to SELL an introduction to Prince Andrew less than a year ago, I'm certain he's heard enough of her.
