Amber Portwood is no stranger to the courtroom but today she received a harsh verdict -- Portwood lost custody of her baby girl, Leah, according to TMZ.

Portwood's baby daddy, Gary Shirley, was ruled the sole custodian of the couple's child, but not because he's a superior parent. Instead, custody was taken from Portwood due to the unsafe environment in which she is living -- her home and car were recently vandalized.

Child Protective Services believed that Portwood's home was an unsuitable living situation for a baby, a fact that Portwood reportedly agreed with. The ruling is reportedly only in effect until further notice.
