Lady Gaga Proves a Bit Too Much for Scotty McCreery on 'American Idol' (Video)

Jimmy Iovine summed it up best on 'American Idol' when he said, "Scotty McCreery. Lady Gaga. I couldn't think of a better fit."

The two are coming from such opposite ends of the spectrum, it was bound to be uncomfortable when they collided during Gaga's mentor stint this week. McCreery did a lot of awkward laughing, smiling and doing the best he could to look anywhere but directly at Gaga. Apparently, that's just too much for him to handle.

She lost him with her advice as well, telling him to think of the microphone as his girlfriend. "Keep your mouth on that microphone like your life depends on it or that b***h gonna leave you."

Later Gaga said, "Apparently, he's a bit more conservative than I had imagined." She hoped she hadn't offended him, but McCreery did say he felt like kissing his cross necklace and saying, "Lord, this is not my doing."

Still, sometimes greatness comes from odd couplings, and she did get him even more loosened up and a little bit crazy for his performance of 'Young Blood.' Maybe a little too crazy, based on some of the loopy looks he was giving the camera with his eyes bugged out.

I'm proud of Scotty for letting people know his morals and beliefs which were obviously not the same as Lady GaGa's.

It's not judging anyone's beliefs to be proud that you aren't one to flash your genitalia at the camera. Anita is not knocking Gaga's beliefs but rather her crude behavior.

Honestly...have you ever watched or listened to her perform? She is so amazingly talented and extremely intelligent. Her voice is phenomenal!! She was spot on with all her advice to the contestants last night.
It really blows my mind that there are so many people in this world who are scared of people who are different. Why don't you embrace it and appreciate it! Take the time to find out what people are all about! I feel sorry for you if you don't...

Lada Gaga is probably deep in her heart a good christian woman but when their is an opportunity to make it BIG in the world--she had to keep her inner thoughts hidden for the sake of being one of the most popular artist--"Dressing in various styles and a lot of craziness that has made her a Big Artist. She is also a creative writer in songs and knows the business. I agree though that we are all talking about "American Idol!" We are the people and do want good values and morals. I am all for Scotty in his great support in keeping strong. He is ready to be "America's Idol!"

You are the perfect example of the kind of person I am talking about and would never want to be! So closed minded... I on the other hand, will continue to love life, have fun and enjoy extremely talented musicians!
