Miranda Lambert Prepares for Wedding Weekend

Country crooners Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are set to walk down the aisle this weekend in a Texas country wedding, and Lambert let fans in on some of her pre-wedding plans over Twitter.

"I am so excited. Got nails touched up. One last wal mart run and I should be good!" Lambert tweeted earlier this week.

She also showed a bit of her wild side, tweeting, "Last thing loaded for the wedding!!! Harvested by....me!!!!!" and tweeted a picture of a package of deer meat they plan to serve at the reception.

According to PEOPLE, Lambert and Shelton have never been shy about their love for hunting, and have long planned on serving their own wild game at their wedding. That "is the one thing we nailed down," Lambert said last year. "And we're going to harvest it ourselves; that's what we really wanted to do."

'The Voice' coach popped the question to Lambert last May in the woods near her home in Tishomingo, Okla.

"Weddings are great and engagements are great and diamonds are especially great," Lambert said when the pair announced their engagement. "But I'm just excited to be married because I want to tell Blake I really can love him the rest of my life and be happy and make him happy."

I wish them luck and as far as their reception, to each his own, everybody for the most part serves some kind of meat at their reception like beef, chicken or pork that like it or not, somebody had to kill. I know it won't stop the self righteous from bagging on them for serving deer meat though.

The couple will also serve a squirrel sorbet and opossum caviar. Poor girl- although I think this is more of a publicity stunt to prove to everyone how genuine country they are. I bet their guests aren't looking forward to this hillbilly slop.

Miranda's hometown is Lindale Texas, not Tishomingo Oklahoma.

Yes Miranda is from Lindale, Texas. I worked at a daycare that her brother Luke attended. Miranda went to school with my son. Miranda and her family are down to earth people.

glad you don't like guns, I would worry about you shooting people not animals.......and for your information deer, bear and geese have reached epidemic propertions in some parts of this country and causing property and human casualties, and before you get on your high horse, we have farm land damage and car accidents that have been caused by a huge deer population here...........
